It was refurbished, seem to remember it was a good couple of hundred quid cheaper than a brand new one at the time.0 -
No one has suggested a ThinkPad?
Lenovo ThinkPad X121e i3 for £326.42 @Lenovo with voucher code and 4% Cashback
Got really excited when I saw that but on clicking through it's only 11.6 inches and not a high res one.0 -

Yes I know, small compromise. 1366 x 768 not enough?0 -
How about this? £379 after cashback0

Really appreciated your suggestions to try and help, but to me an 11 inch is out of the question, you would not fit much on a screen of that size.
So whilst with that resolution on that size of screen, I would imagine the icons/text/etc doesn't look so childishly large which is one thing I want to avoid, the disadvantage is that you don't fit much on the screen - which would be a big issue for me when I restart matched betting unfortunately.0 -

That has the nipple but also the low resolution. This is the problem I have, each of those on their own seems fairly sparse, but to get the two of them together seems nigh on impossible! It's making me feel as though I must be being really picky, but then I think, actually I only have 2 requirements which is probably less than most people0 -
Big Pockets have a good range of ex business laptops, worth a look maybe.

Looks like that has a great display - no nipple though unfortunately. I do keep swaying myself back to thinking I can manage without one. But then given I bought a laptop without one previously and ended up having to return it I'm not so sure.
I kind of wish I'd never used a nipple and then wouldn't know how fiddly touchpads are, and it wouldn't be a problem.
I am feeling quite tempted by that one you've posted, but I think reaslistically I'd get too frustrated with the touchpad...0 -

Just looking at other laptops on your link. this one has the nipple, but doesn't give the screen res so I don't know if it would be right or not:
