Need to find 15.6 laptop with nipple and 1920 resolution

Think its the LARGE ICONS & TEXT on smaller resolutions the OP hates! so wants a larger resolution to make them smaller. ^_^
Absolutely
I know it may sound picky, but whereas most people prob want minimum processing power, RAM, certain Windows version etc, I don't care about all that. I just want a high res screen and not a touchpad. I think low resolutions just look so clunky and horrible.0 -

Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

I'm not saying these two are any good/reputable, but as an example as to what's possible..you'd need to discuss it with them to see if it may fix your issues.
A lot depends on how much you want to spend/are attached to your current machine/transfer of data, etc., you pays your money and takes your chance......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple0 -

I feel a bit stupid for saying this, but I don't know what one of those is! I will go and have a google...0 -
That is still a reasonable laptop for web browsing. Have you looked into what the repair might cost?
I'm starting to think this might be the way to go. Although ultimately, even if I do get it repaired, it's getting on now and no doubt will have another fault in a few months so I'm kind of only delaying the problem0 -

Can't access eBay as at work at the moment but will look tonight at your links thanks. i've already spent hours on eBay trying to find somethng but no joy.
I am beginning to think I may be forced to just repair. But this will only put off the problem, as one day my laptop will be totally dead and unrepairable and I'll be back to this issue again...0 -

I'm amazed you found a new Dell Latitude for £440 unless it was used. Back then it would have been the 4/6/810 or early 4/6/820 series and they were around £1000 new.0 -

My laptop has finally given up the ghost. I hate having everything really big on the screen, so I want to stick with the 1920 x 1080 or 1920 x 1200 resolution, on a 15.6" laptop screen.
My only other requirement is a nipple, as I hate using touchpads (I did buy a laptop with one once but despite best efforts I could not get used to it, and had to send it back).
I've been looking for ages, and only ones with nipples I can find are Lenovo. But none of those have the necessary resolution except the £1000+ ones.
My old laptop was a Dell Latitude and has all my requirements above, and only cost £440, and this was 5 years ago. Surely there must be something similar available now, please can anyone help?
Thanks.
