Yes, I guess it for example when I reported mine to H&S and the fire brigade came down and H&S under 'Trips and Slips' and gave them a mega long list of !!!! they had to clear from the stair well including cooking oil and a archive area and the paint stashed behind a locked fire exit.
Reality is the same for me - like I say not bothered or scared. I have spoken up and never been sacked for it. Gut some guts!!!0 -
Are You KIDDING ME???
Its softies such as yourselves that mess the entire system up.
You mess it up for everyone. You do not have a backbone and bendover and take it from behind, which in turn gives the GIVER the impression that they can now do it to everyone else.
Then when someone does stand up for themselves, you stand back and watch, afraid that you might get an X against your name.
Dont EVER have a mentality that you just do as your told and take it as it is.
If something isnt right, challenge it straight away. Fix your thinking and you will find that people do have rights.
Do you do your job? Are you following procedure? Even if the company has an eye on you, if you are doing your work then you are safe. They have no grounds to touch you.
OP - Why did you go home when you came into work? If it was part of your shift which was agreed before hand, you should have seen the manager straight away and spoke your mind.
If it was something that you didnt agree to and was overtime which you didnt put down and sign off a fixed time, then manager was in their right to send you home.
Go into work, ask the manager to draw your contract and sit down and talk about it. Dont be afraid. Your job is and will be secure. They are not just going to replace you.
You will find that people who post that they are getting replaced .etc. are not giving you the full story.0 -

If its a reasonable thing, then i will do as im told. If im told to do something which i feel isnt correct then i will express this.
I also do all of the above. So it doesnt mean you drag your heels and just carry on doing. I speak up when i feel the need. You dont get sacked for sh*t like that.
Do it right and you will be admired.

Dont you mean got some guts. Anyone can call in certain services for advice doesn't mean you are above re-proch if the Guvnor sees it as a mistamina.Yes, I guess it for example when I reported mine to H&S and the fire brigade came down and H&S under 'Trips and Slips' and gave them a mega long list of !!!! they had to clear from the stair well including cooking oil and a archive area and the paint stashed behind a locked fire exit.

No I doubt that very much. If I was told work unpaid over time I'd say no thanks. If they underpaid me I'd demand the money, if they cancelled my shift with no notice I'd say they had to let me work it and pay me. If I was told I get no breaks even if it was against the law and stated in my contract that I do (and yes there have been 2 posters on here where their new jobs told them they can not leave the buliding at lunch time & they get no break) I would just take them. Yes ok so they may sack me and they would regret the day they met me and the others who do so are crawlers deserve what they get as they could not step up and speak up! These are the people who are lettings companies get away with this kind of thing as ACAS say not many people challenge their boss as they are too scared too. Sorry, not me.onceuponatime wrote: »So you too need to live and provide for your family. You to need a job to cover your bills. You to need and want things.
