Thanks. They've charged 3 hours labour £161.20. Shoes £50.73. Discs £38.76, pads £19.61 and added brake clean £3.10 and brake fluid change £39.95 plus VAT
So £3760 -
Whilst the shoes are on the high side, its what I'd expect a firm to charge.
3hrs labour is a bit on the high side but not excessively so. If the rear drums are well work they can sometimes be a real pig to remove.0 -
They rang and said there was a problem with brakes and that something had come off a rack and that brake fluid would need to be changed. I was working next day so honestly thought it was unsafe to leave it.0

Discs, pads and shoes cost about £75 inc vat and fitting would be at the max 2hrs labour so even with the brake fluid change i reckon they saw you coming.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0

For a C3?
Where from, the prices quoted there look ok for an online supplier, let alone a garage.
And an hour for pads and discs, and another hour for rear shoes is fast.0 -

The price i quoted is about cost so even if the garage make a couple of quid on them they should be offsetting this against the labour cost.
2 hours for the job isnt at all fast, even on a jack id say no more than 30 mins for the front brakes and max an hour on the rear.Be Alert..........Britain needs lerts.0 -
