Thanks Ladies! They've gone, so I guess I give them until Monday to do the right thing (it would be sooner, but let's face it, no one will be interested at the police station until then and it's DH's birthday tomorrow.

Good luck with both those parts - the bad driver and your OH's birthday.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Morning all,
Had a great weekend and didn't get blown off of the roof of the O2, walking across which was Mr TMV's present. Bit of a disaster with food - everywhere was rammed and we couldn't find anything that we both wanted to eat and that had space. Wandered around the West End for two hours (and didn't realise it had been that long - thought it was 8 when it was actually 9), had an overpriced cocktail and then caught (a slow, detouring) train back home. Ended up with takeaway pizza rather late, which DH paid for. We'll go out for a meal at another time!
Had lovely takeaway (from our friends) for dinner last night with the in-laws. Friends had included homemade chocolate orange ice cream as a birthday present - yum! (We have leftovers and leftover ice cream to finish too).
Haven't heard anything from the **** who hit my car, so I'll be contacting the police and the DVLA (for his details). Also need to contact a seriously good dent puller who we've used in the past, to see if he can do anything for my poor car. Did a bit of sorting of the cupboard of doom yesterday and have Olioed/Freegle a few bits, which are being collected today (hopefully).
Am off to a Trefoil Guild Christmas lunch this afternoon (£15, already paid for) and then visiting my new 1st cousin once-removedLooking forward to baby snuggles. (With both of these in mind, I have already done an LFT this morning). This evening I need to look at presents and see if we want to take anyone up on the cyber Monday deals.
MS things:
* Did a few surveys
* Clicks done
* We used the return bus tickets, despite being absolutely freezing, instead of getting an Uber home - it took a lot of willpower!
Gratitudes:
* Lovely day Saturday - quite an experience!
* Time with family yesterday
* Meeting new baby this afternoon!

That O2 Experience must have been quite something! We managed to book a late notice Sydney Harbour Bridge Walk (on New Year's Day - I guess that is why we could get booked) - ages ago now. 2007 I think. It spurred us to do the Munich Olympic Stadium roof climb the following summer too - both were really enjoyableSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

It was indeed SL, especially in the dark and the wind! (Fortunately it had briefly stopped raining while we were doing the climb. Your experiences sound amazing - will definitely think about the Munich one, as I have a yearning to get back there fairly soon (I think a German holiday in 2023, all being well, might be in order
).

We just did the roof climb in Munich but there's an option to abseil down too and I just checked and there's a zip wire thing too. Here's the link - it was amazing. From the Olympic park you can see the BMW headquarters building (the iconic four-cylinder building, built to be ready for the Olympics in 1972 (where my DH worked in the 1980s as a designer) and I recall the park was lovely and interesting tooSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

Oh wow! That sounds amazing - definitely ones to go on the lists (yep, I keep lists - each of the UK countries and "abroad", because this is a during-covid project
do you have any photos small-size enough to post on here?

All my photos were lost on my Mac during some maintenance but I found this link with a great picture - if you click on the picture to enlarge it you can see the BMW building, the tower (restaurant) and the boating lake in the foreground with the athletics stadium and roof visible on the left.
I can't remember what the similar roof is on the right but I also remember the accommodation blocks and it is worth a google images as this was the olympics where a number of Israeli athletes were held hostage - so a really awful memory of them on the news but now they are private apartments and the balconies and green roofs were (are) just wonderful. I believe some have since been turned over to student accommodation (talk about aspiring for excellence in inspiring surroundings!) - you might be lucky with an air or apart-hotel in that area, when things settle down.
DH lived in Munich when we met and it's a brilliant city to visit, especially in late Spring when the outdoor spaces are more usable. The English Garden is very large (I think I remember nude sunbathing in one small area there) - I certainly remember there is a beer garden - I love the City and highly recommend it for a tripSave £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £9586.01 out of £6000 after August (158.45%)

Morning all,
Is it bedtime yet? Have been awake since about 4 and am finding myself nodding off at my desk this morning. 😴
SL, how cool that you can abseil or zipwire too. We've only been to Munich once, for the Christmas markets but absolutely loved it and I do want to get back for a spring/summer visit (and one day Oktoberfest too, so we'll have all the seasons under our belt). We enjoyed the Englischer Garten - it was lovely, even in the winter and had a Christmas market by the Chinescher Turm (Chinese tower). I know we have a lot more to see there though.
Had a lovely afternoon with the Trefoil Guild yesterday and then enjoying baby cuddles with new family member. She is so tiny (7lb 1oz at birth, now 2 weeks old). Brought home various leftovers from the lunch too - soup, custard, lemonade and juice. So soup for lunch for the next couple of days for me and some treats.
Various bits of work arrived overnight from America, and I've got the end of this project for my main client to finish - am nearly there now. Then I need to report the dent in my car to the police (ran out of time yesterday/was waiting for more info on the car's owner from a neighbour), do invoicing and probably have a nap.
MS things:
* £2 Populous survey
* 1P surveys - £9+ now
* YG survey
* Clicks done, comps later hopefully
* Free food
Gratitudes:
* Lovely to catch up with Trefoil ladies I've not seen in nearly two years
* Snuggly cuddles with gorgeous baby and she was wide awake too
* Free food

7lb 01oz is big in my book. I’m tiny and my DS was 6lb 2oz when he was born. Mind you DD was 6lb 10oz and I nearly asked if they were sure she was mine 🤣2025 decluttering: 5,050 🌟🥉🌟💐🏅🏅🌟🥈🏅🌟🏅💐💎🌟🏅🏆🌟🏅🌟🌟2025 use up challenge: 362🥉🥈🥇💎🏆Mini freezer challenge +4/-20Big kitchen declutter challenge 120/1502025 decluttering goals I Use up Challenge: 🥉365 🥈750 🥇1,000 💎2,000 🏆 3,000 👑 8,000 I 🥉12 🥈26 🥇52 💎 100 🏆 250 👑 5004
