Afternoon all,
Thanks NG. It is, but it's life. It is one of the main reasons we want to move though.
Have done a couple of small bits of work, but it's quiet at the moment, despite something due to be coming. Of course, the Americans will all be quiet now until Tuesday morning as it's Thanksgiving today.
I've spent the rest of the morning finishing off my password updates. Almost everything is now sorted, secure and lovely, which feels good (the remaining ones are mostly DH's that are in my password manager - for my use/joint use, but I need to discuss with him obviously!
Have a long list of housework I should be doing - after lunch now (and at last the Bake Off final!). Lunch will be leek and potato soup, made yesterday, and a freebie roll. Off to see the Christmas lights in my Mum's town later. Will also pop into WR for a few bits (including dinner for my sis and I tonight). Will use my MM JL voucher to pay for it. Lights will be enjoyed with a C0sta chocolate orange hot chocolate, which I'm really looking forward to. Will use MBNA card to pay as I'll get 8% in cashback (if I forget, I'll get 5% with Amex, but no airtime rewards too!).
MS things:
* Comps entered
* Surveys done
* Post has just brought a free jacket for our outside water tap
* Clicks done and a 60p won on HW
Gratitudes:
* Sunshine today - it was just so grey and dark and miserable yesterday
* Dinner with Sis tonight (Mum is out, DH is away with work) - will be *so* nice to have some time with just her (not sure if I mentioned here, but Niece and she are living with Mum at the moment due to a relationship breakdown - hopefully back in her own house soon though)
* The password for All4 for Bake Off!

Forgot to say that we booked our San Fran hotel last night - a hotels.com secret price came up for a 4-star hotel in fisherman’s wharf with breakfast for 3 nights for £440 - much cheaper than anything else and much better than what we had before. Still ridiculously expensive compared to a premier inn, but it’s in a good location, includes food and will be a nice bit of luxury for the end of our trip.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Definitely, a 4 star for that price in that location is a really good deal.2023: the year I get to buy a car6

Morning all,
Thanks Karma and Chiglepig - it should be. But honestly, the number of so-called hotels in the US where you're expected to spend a fortune and then share a bathroom simply amazes me! That said, we're also staying in a hostel in Santa Monica with a shared bathroom for £115/night.... but it was the cheapest, nice and well located option (no car in LA, possibly the most car centric place in the world!).
Had a nice afternoon yesterday - the lights in my mum's town are very impressive - there's a trail with different lit-up characters - a couple of teddy bears, a reindeer, a hot air balloon, etc. Mum paid for the hot chocs in the end! And I ended up buying two pizzas - one in M&S and one in WR (both with gift cards) - so DH and I have pizza at some point too. Also bought a parmesan and garlic bread thing that was pretty rubbish (dry, no garlic and just unfinishable) - I might drop them an email about that and let them know.
Have a headache this morning, so taking it gently, but the project I was awaiting arrived yesterday afternoon, so it's good to have something to focus on.
MS things:
* Need to call S&S back - our clicker is jammed, which I emailed them about but they rang to say they've 'not received any data' from us and to call them. I'd like a new clicker (and a new book, because I can't believe ours is still current - it doesn't have half the veg in it we each and no mention of veg box deliveries, which are so popular now that surely they want to know about that?).
* Clicks done
* YG survey
* 1P surveys
* MM surveys
* applied for a focus group activity, will see if I'm suitable
* Have claimed some S&S vouchers for Argoose to order a couple of bits we need. Not in the BF nonsense, so no rush to buy them today
Gratitudes:
* A quiet day today (DH will be back from his trip at some point, but likely will end up in the office until normal time)
* Lovely cuddles with niece when we got back to Mum's
* Proper catch-up with Sis

Congrats on sorting out your passwords. I moved password manager and am only partway through. Thanks Jess - it does feel good.
In other news, a flurry of activity here as neighbour knocked to say they'd seen the car that hit mine parked outside. I've got reg no., photos of my blue paint on their blue car (and vice versa) and have left an extremely polite note (it actually is) asking them to call me to sort out the cost of the damage.... and as I'm typing the heavens are opening... so convenient for them! (Neighbour also has his name - if I don't hear then I'll be calling the police and it'll all get a lot worse. Problem is, I don't want it to go through insurance really as then they'll write my car off...
Still have a headache though and DH is having a really pants day at work, which doesn't bode well for an enjoyable birthday weekend for himMortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days
