They’re pretty dire here - loads of beautiful sycamores or similar, but with the resultant mush all over the pavements and cycle paths. It’s been tricky to see the edge of the pavement/cycle path for a couple of weeks now.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Yes, Karma, it's enough to get me excited about it all again. Originally we'd decided to visit the national parks and the trees and miss out on the coast. Unfortunately lots of the parks that we were visiting have been hit by wildfires, so probably not the best places to visit, so we're going up the coast instead. We're still going to Yosemite though, so will see plenty of trees!
MS last night went well and we had a nice (if unhealthy) meal. Report all submitted and should get enough money back to cover it. Had good luck on the HW this morning, so have withdrawn another £5 (not all today's winnings!). Main client is also keeping me busy with bits of work while waiting for the main project to come back to me, and I've had contact from another client, so expecting something else later today too.
DH has not been having breakfast on the days he is not working from home (today, tomorrow and Thursday this week), so I've cancelled Friday's milk and if this continues, I will have to amend the regular order, which will save some money. We've both started eating breakfast much later recently - it stops snacking and increases our fasting time (good for the microbiome), and when he has to leave, it's just too early for him to eat (that's not to say he won't have something later at work).
MS things:
* £5 winnings withdrawn
* PA is at £20 now, hooray!
* YG money arrived
* 1P at £7 again already! (All those silly, repetitive Christmas surveys)
* Various bits of work due to arrive
* Clicks and comps done/doing
Gratitudes:
* Various bits of work due to arrive
* Lovely Whatsapp convos with Olio group and FIL (separately)
* Gorgeous sunshine - I've already been for a short walk and will go again soon
Have a good day all, hope the sun is shining with you too!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ugh.... just gone out for a walk and seen that someone has driven into my car and left a huge dent in the rear quarter. No note, of course. This is why we want to move - reckon someone drives into one of our cars (mainly mine) at least once a year. From the photo I sent DH he thinks it's a write off (which I suspect means he doesn't think it's fixable - anything would be a write off to the insurance company, we wouldn't make a claim unless we just want the cash... and then, is it worth it?). Why?!
I don't have a car replacement fund (ultimately we have 3 cars currently and I don't need it for work).... just £400 in the car maintenance fund. I have my buffer fund, of course, but that's not really for that. Time to look at the share price for the shares I have in DH's employer... (the only individual shares I hold).Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Thanks Chigle and Cheery.... indeed, why are people such ar$eh0les? Checked with one neighbour and their camera won't have caught it, will check with the other later. Pretty sure which vehicle did it, but it wasn't one we'd seen before (it was hanging round on Monday). Problem is (not that this excuses them at all), we're at the bottom of a cul de sac, with flats wedged in the corners, so there's lots of toing and froing and not enough parking, and sometimes dubious people coming and going. The last time it was a delivery driver though - neighbours up the road saw and left a note for me to see them. It was fairly minor, but this is not. However, it's driveable and I used it for my Olio collection this morning. I don't even think there's anything sharp, so it's safe too. Just frustrating and expensive. But as my reaction was Autotrader and DH's was outside cameras and neither of us reached for Rightmove, I think that's indicative of our thoughts re moving at the moment.
MS things:
* Won £4.19 on HW this morning, so have just cashed out *another* £5(I think that's £15 this month)
* £1 Populous survey yesterday
* Qmee at £8
* Having issues with 1P app though - will see how website is a bit later
* Pineapple in my collection - so kept that (was thinking I'd be needing to buy some fruit tomorrow)
* Pastry for breakfast, bread for lunch and freezer also from collection
Gratitudes:
* Lovely Olioers
* Car is driveable - at least that means I can think for a bit
* Car incident forced me to speak to the neighbours we don't see eye-to-eye with and he seemed OK...
Have a good day all!

How awful MV. I hope someone has caught it on camera and the culprit has to pay up.
