Finally I have a mortgage I can start to pay off!

I think it does mean offer accepted. Will keep an eye out on RM. We're not in a position to bid on it above asking price.
Apart from the fact DH had to take parts of the bathroom apart last week because of a cistern problem, we are pretty much ready to put on the market - so that's something. I wouldn't foresee any issues with selling this place - it's a nicely done, three-bed mid-terrace with good connections, commuter town, blah, blah. It's finding something that works for us within budget that's the issue... and accepting that a bigger mortgage would definitely limit DH's ability to barista-RE (or set up doing something on his own) - which is why somewhere with the opportunity to offer a glamping experience or similar (as this property had) appeals - it's all about the side hustles!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

I bet you guys would be brilliant at it, you both sound so resourceful

Oh there's definitely chickens in my future SC! The only thing stopping me from having them now is that there's no room in our back garden and while our front garden is relatively large (and only fronts onto a footpath), I think the neighbours may take offence at livestock roaming in our front garden!
Thanks Karma - that's a lovely thing to say!

Morning all,
Only a tiny bit of work this morning, which is now done, of course.I placed a bet last night and have just placed another one now - getting to grips with the spreadsheet DH used when he did it as the one TP provide just didn't suit me. Getting into the swing of things now - currently it's my main source of income! (Although not for a while as I need to build my liquidity). All this football is great though - instead of matches on just a couple of days a week there's something on every single day!
Not much else happening here today - some gardening needs doing but I think I'm going to have to dodge the showers for that one. Lunch will be avocado and egg on galettes to use up some of the buckwheat flour and an avocado that needs eating. Dinner may be broad bean and spinach risotto - both need eating, beans are from the garden. Not sure if that works as a combination though? Spinach needs using up more urgently than the beans though. Will have to have a think on that.
Have just received notification that the clothes order I returned last week has been received and refund has been processed - that's good as I was beginning to wonder about it.
MS things:
* 1P survey
* Clicks done
* Work done (not enough to live on though!)
* Bets placed
Gratitudes:
* DH's job is secure
* A friend has just told us she's expecting her second child
* Food from the garden
Have a good day all!

Hi Vix, I always view “under offer” as we have had an offer that we might have to accept but are after a higher one if anyone is interested, otherwise why not just put SSTC?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁4

Thanks NG, you may have a point as it's not come up as SSTC... so maybe I'll ring back tomorrow morning. But I assumed that an EA would want us to view if it was only under offer?Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Thanks Jessy. Have tried ringing the EA for clarification, but they're closed currently.
A smallish project has arrived for work this morning, which is something. I need to work out my average earnings for July-August over the last three years at some point, so I can work out whether or not to claim the second SEISS grant. Work is still quiet, but then summers often are. If it's quieter than normal, I'll put in a claim, but if it's not, I won't.
We had a Riverford recipe that popped up on Instagram for dinner in the end. It seemed to involve every utensil/pot in the kitchen and had a lot of flavours going on. I wouldn't say never again, but it seemed like quite a lot of effort. But it did use the broad beans (hg), some of the spinach (R'ford), the world's biggest spring onion (hg, must pick sooner!) and other bits that we had in.
I had quite a productive afternoon yesterday - weeded the garden, washed the cats' litter trays (not a regular job, and quite minging), and picked and stripped 2kg of red currants from the bush. Am currently (pun intended) stewing 1kg of them to make red currant shrub as recommended by Cross Rabbit. If it's nice, I'm hoping we'll have enough cordial to be able to make some Christmas presents from it (freezing the cordial for later). (I cannot believe I just mentioned the C word in July, sorry!! Have been thinking though about the extra time at the moment and whether I could/should be making things for gifts)
Today, apart from the work, I need to do some washing (on), place a zero-waste order and research (organic) bed linen as our bottom sheet has worn through in multiple places. We're having pizza tonight, but I'll make the dough later as the red currants are taking up all my pyrex bowls! I think lunch will be salad-based as we have some bits to use up.
MS things:
* Bets completed from yesterday. Need to look up how do an acca so I can use the next bit of the BV bonus.
* 1P survey done (£14 now)
* Installed the PA survey alert extension yesterday - a creepy man's voice just informed me there was a survey available! Not sure about that! (And survey is a bit long for me too, so it's a pass)
* Finished friends' daughter's birthday card, ready to post
Gratitudes:
* Food from the garden
* Work
* Felt on top of things in my evening class due to preparation and time spent on homework
* Kitty cuddles (Kittenkirst, if you're reading I hope you've had some too)
Have a good day all!
