Afternoon all,
Had a lovely afternoon yesterday - brief walk (it was very windy still!) with Brownie friends followed by a stop a tea room. Won't be going back there though - a pot of tea for two was £7.50!! :eek: :eek: (sorry, going to continue using the codes!) (I know there are more emojis than you can see on the drop down menu - how do you find them?). Not a cheap visit. We're going to do the same next month but find somewhere cheaper for our cuppa! After that, I popped round to see another friend who lives nearby for a cuppa, which was really lovely - she's self-employed/a SAHM and only recently moved back to the area, so I think we should make the most of both being around in the day (when we're freeish).
Managed to get a Drs appointment this morning and now have a lovely new set of antibiotics for a kidney infectionFeeling pretty groggy today - have spent most of it on the sofa. Have now received some more work, which will give me something to get on with tomorrow.
MS things:
* PA survey x2
* Clicks etc, inc SB survey and Swago. Managed hit my daily goal (40 SB), so bonus there too. Makes a change, but with work so quiet, I've got to do something!
* Going to see a man about a cat (sitting) this evening. Would rather not go tonight, tbh, but equally want to give a good impression. It's a week's worth of sitting from end of next week, so that'll help with the income side of things.
* £1.98 cashed out of £co - put back into savings against plasterer 'debt'.
* Had a realisation that I can use my birthday money to fund my NTbB adventures - I don't need it to buy 'stuff' and I want to get to these places! (Lack of work and ambitious OP targets etc. have made me concerned that I might not get to do much National-Trusting, and that would be a pity. Now I have a solution!)
Gratitudes:
* the NHS
* good social times yesterday (and plans made for the future too)
* DH - he's picking up pizza on the way home to save me cooking

Kidney infections are *horrible*, madvix, take care - I'm glad you've got the right antibiotics. Definitely :eek: to the price of the pot of tea! Good heavens ... As for the emojis, I'm not putting what brainpower I've got left into finding them - the old ones on mse were well designed, and these nearly all look very blocky and unappealing. I'll leave it for now, sad as I am about it.Take care.2023: the year I get to buy a car2

Morning all,
Thanks SL and Bennett for the emoji info - that’s really helpful! Agree that it’sa bit hit and miss though, trying to guess the letters in them!
Thanks for the good wishes too. Paracetamol is my friend at the moment, but I think I could be a lot worse, so just taking it easy and taking the meds.
Computer is currently doing an update, so typing on my phone. The update text has gone all pixelated, so I’m really hoping that’s just temporary!! 😳
Freegle lady has collected bookcase this morning and very kindly brought me some tulips 😁
MS things:
* clicks done
* Road kill of 15p and a McDonald’s coffee bean collected this week! 🤣
* delicious pizza and ice cream dinner from Asda last night definitely cost less than a takeaway (and there’s more ice cream and garlic bread in the freezer!)
* eBay sale of £30 - but will give this to DH as it’s his item (will help with car ‘debt’)
* work that I can do while taking it easy
* lovely cat owners visited last night - if it goes well, it might become fairly regular as they have family in Spain
* Pizza hut never responded to my response, so need to escalate that (to the CEO)
* still need to ring house insurer
* have DH’s Amex referral code, so need to apply for that so I can collect Eurostar points.
Gratitudes:
*tulips ☺️
* I could be feeling worse
* I have my phone... computer is taking much longer than I thought! 😳
Have a good day all!
