Well I unexpectedly had lunch out with Mum (she offered to pay, I'd offered her a home baked loaf, but apparently that wasn't good enough
) - we went to a pub I've always fancied going to but never actually been to and it was excellent - a really delicious veggie burger. We then went clothes shopping and proceeded to spend absolutely nothing - I wasn't intending to anyway, but the clothes out there are dire!!
Anyway, it was a nice afternoon off and I've come back and done some more work. Don't have to cook more than some porridge for tea now as DH is out with work.

Morning all,
Just a quick one this morning as it's late and I haven't started work yet. Had a bad night's sleep, so am feeling tired. Have used up some very brown bananas in a cake and bread is proving for lunch. Have also posted a birthday card, done two loads of washing and done my homework for evening class. Now ready to go back to bed!
DH had fun with the trains both ways yesterday, so he'll be able to claim some of his fares back. Have also renewed library books to avoid fines there.
MS things:
* NV survey
* Clicks etc. done
* Heating off at the moment as I'm still warm enough from all the running around - will save it for when I need it later (and there'll be washing to dry).
Gratitudes:
* My morning routine - it really helped get me out of bed this morning!
* The smell of banana cake - is it time for elevenses yet?
* The purring gingerness next to me

Morning all,
A bit grey here today after a frost first thing. Have only just put heating back on though after it went off at 7. Work is pottering on, not sure I have much else to be doing until this evening - out with ex-Brownie leaders for dinner tonight. Looking forward to it!
MS things:
* Dinner from stores last night
* Bread, biscuits and cakes baked
* Clicks done
* PC to do
* YG survey done
* Dad's Christmas present sorted and booked (not MSE at it's more than I'd spend normally *and* I bought a ticket for myself!, but it's a big tick on the Christmas shopping list!)
Gratitudes:
* DH cooked dinner
* My lovely cuddly kitties - heard the sad news yesterday that my Dad's/the neighbourhood cat has had to be put to sleepHe was 18 and had had a good life, but had major liver problems. I shall miss him (and Dad even more so)
* It's Friday! (Busy weekend ahead - dinner tonight, football tomorrow (exciting!) and BIL and fiancee round for tea on Sunday.
Have a good day all! Time for a cuppa here...Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Had a lovely weekend - great catch up with Brownie people on Friday (we're still enjoying the novelty of a Friday night not at Brownies); the football was excellent, even though we lost; and had BIL and fiancee for dinner last night and then we had a great time playing Cluedo (my Nan's very ancient edition).
In between time, I finished some bits on my new project and can now announce that I have a blog about visiting National Trust properties by public transport. I'll put a link in my profile (if that's still allowed?) but it's called National Trust by Bus if you want to search for it. I doubt it'll make me any money, but it's more about encouraging others to do the same (if I can cover the costs of the hosting, I'll be a happy bunny). Karma, I imagine you can see where the meet-up might happen now!(although now I'm thinking there are options when you're cat-sitting too...)
MS things:
* DH used another Trainpal Halloween code on our train tickets for Saturday evening - so about £12 in total for train plus oyster fares. We did buy a pie each and drinks - it was my first football match - you have to! (It was also very unlike a football match - so many children there, loads of dads and daughters)
* Dinner on Friday came to £15.50 including tip - bargainous
* Only cost yesterday for dinner was £5 for some sausages.
* Still plenty of food in for this week :T
* S&S submitted
* Spent 1/2 an hour on Friday faffing with RM survey stuff (3 cubes in one week!)
Gratitudes:
* Good times all weekend - and so much fun playing Cluedo
* All the men and women who have served and made sacrifices to enable me to have the freedom and privilege I have today

Morning all,
Thanks NewgirlyI have a lot to learn about blogging though - it'll give my brain a workout, I think. Cookies, promotion (there's an Instagram account too), SEO... all good skills to have I guess...
It's a miserable and now wet day here today and DH has gone off for work overnight (so his dinner is sorted and a milk saving). I have a piece of salmon from the freezer and the last of the noodles we bought from the zero-waste shop in Birmingham. We still have plenty of food in! The freezer really needs emptying out a bit - so lots of freezer meals coming up.
MS things:
* PA survey done
* Clicks done - 250SB survey for 3 mins of my time, yes, I'll take that, thanks very much!
* Work is pootling on...
* Dinner last night was definitely a use-it-up meal
* £61.88 transferred to savings (a combination of TTs, interest earned and other bits)
Gratitudes:
* The sound of seagulls screeching transported me to a nicer place a few minutes ago!
* Evening class tonight, so I won't be on my own all day
* Lovely comments about my blog(and followers!! Not that I'm obsessed with checking!)
