Afternoon all,
Sorry it's been a few days... I have stayed on the wagon though. We have a menu plan and we're sticking to it and all is well.
Thanks for the encouragement Karma and NG - I'm just aware that although I'm very excited about it, others may not be *and* I don't want to get told off on here for 'promoting' my blog too much. I've had some further great contacts from various people (Twitter, apparently, is the place to be and so far, very friendly!) and have posted about our visit to the pub on Friday night.
Had a sorting day yesterday. Since clearing Nan's house there have been things building up in our house - and it was getting to me. So a couple of bags of bits went to the charity shop (there's one in our parade of shops over the road, makes the world of difference being able to get stuff out straight away!) and I've filled the recycling bins too. The stuff wasn't from Nan's but the cumulative effect was frustrating me. There's a few bits to discuss with DH and some bits for the loft too - once they're sorted, it'll be even better. I even ordered a couple of secondhand paperbacks to replace some very large/heavy falling-apart hardback books - that'll free up space and make them easier to read!
MS things:
* DH away for work (and caught up with some friends) - I had freezer surprise
* Meal plan going well
* Saved on milk as DH away
* Clicks etc.
* Trainpal have Black Friday (urgh) spins - won a £10 voucher and a £2 voucher - useful for blog! Referral code (if anyone wants it) is: 23d7abe0 (you get a £5 credit and I get more spins)
Gratitudes:
* Walked into the woods today - had them to myself (apart from the inhabitants) - absolute bliss
* My new, warm coat (did I mention I'd found one? It was £200, but I got £40 off with my *ahem* now-defunct Girlguiding membership - if they leave me on the system, what do they expect? First time I've ever used it!)
* Lovely Twitterers
Better get back to work (or have some lunch) now. Have a good afternoon all!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Morning all,
Thanks Newgirly... all is okay, I think. Just not got a lot of motivation to post - a few things going on in the background.
CC bill for November was a shocking £937!! :eek: About half of this is budgeted stuff (and budget doesn't include food) - presents, vets bills, etc. but it's hardly Thriftvember, is it? Work has been relatively busy, but I can't even say I've been keeping up with clicks/surveys etc. I think I need the New Year to find some motivation.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Positive vibes for you, madvix - I appreciate you've got stuff going on, but there's also the whole hibernating-during-winter thing, even when you're just doing stuff on the computer. I experienced that particular bit of it yesterday, in spades. Hope you're still finding time for a few of the good things.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Thanks Karma.
In efforts to get back on track/stay on track, I've done clicks this morning and even checked 1P and PA.
Gratitudes:
* The sun is shining and it might be cold, but it's pretty out there
* Had a lovely family day yesterday
* DH and I cycled on Saturday morning - and I (more or less) made it there and back (only to Halfords, on the other side of town, but I did it!) - and no road cycling required either!
Now need to go and find something for lunch....Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Certainly don't be beating yourself up, especially not if there's other stuff going on in the background :kisses3: I do know what you mean about motivation though. It's so difficult to keep going when it gets dark at 4pm! :eek:0

Thanks my lovely online friends! I do think the short days are not helping - even though I'm still making a point of getting out for a walk (or three) every day. It's not just the evenings Cheery - it's the mornings! When you don't *have* to get up before the sun, it's very hard to do so! But that means everything is happening later and later in the day!
Feeling a bit more positive today and have earmarked a few more bits for the CS and have already sold something I snapped and put straight on Ebay (a Feliway refill) - £10 to the kitty (not the kitties!).
Also managed another PA survey yesterday and have won £25 on the Premium Bonds! I've done a few bits of bitty work this morning and need to crack on with the big project, but also need to get invoicing and money shuffles etc. done. Waiting in for deliveries today, so should make good progress with all this.
MS things:
* Used up various leftovers in curry for dinner last night - and enough for DH's lunch today
* I've got fried tatties for lunch (which I'd forgotten were ready-boiled and waiting to be used
* Used up an overfrozen burger bun yesterday with some fish fingers
* RM survey items posted
* PA surveys done
* Clicks done
* Ordered some presents from NT website - 10% off for signing up and TCB has tracked - but doubt it will pay out
Gratitudes:
* Made a decision which has lifted weight off my mind
* Walk in the dark with DH last night - but still nice to get out of the house
* £25 PB win!

Morning all,
Had a busy couple of days socialising, which has been nice and not too expensive. Back at work/home today and glad of it though (such an introvert!).
In MS news:
* Claimed £40 from 1P - at last! I must be the only person who hadn't got round to the £25 payout!
* Clicks etc.
* PA surveys - nearly at self-imposed payout limit there too
* RM survey items posted, recorded and CD survey nearly finished- £5 for that
* Bits and pieces of work done around the socialising
Gratitudes:
* A day at home to recover today
* Plenty of work
* It's Friday!

Morning all,
Well one of the background things was resolved yesterday, in a good way, and I'm feeling so much better for it that everything is cheerier today! It was clearly playing on my mind even more than I knew.
So, today is going to be a super productive day - work just keeps popping into the inbox, which is great as it's often quite quiet at this time of the year, so thank you very much clients! I also have to pop to the PO with two parcels to return and get some housework done. Evening class tonight and I haven't done my homework yet, so that needs doing too.
MS things:
* Walked to appointment yesterday, saving parking fees
* Leftovers for lunch today (and may have had lunch at mum's yesterday - but did keep niece entertained in exchange)
* Clicks etc.
* S&S submitted
Gratitudes:
* A weight has been lifted from my mind
* Beautiful, absolutely gorgeous sunrise this morning (and slept well enough that I was happy to be awake to see it) - I took photos
* A lovely weekend get-together with school friends and their expanding families
