Maybe...Haven't got long to test that theory out then. Deadline 21st March. It says the account starts from the date of your first deposit. So that would be 4-5 working days from April 6th after the cheque has cleared!0

Well said MiserlyMartin. I'm going to vote with my feet.I am looking for a the best interest rate where I can operate it on-line & keep tabs on it on-line. Don't like the idea of them suddenly dropping the rate after they have my money either.

I expect this rate to be topped by the end of the week.0

I'm looking for a new ISA to fund with only new money in new tax year as I have a fixed rate ISA from this year that I'm happy to keep. This rate looks great and I would definitely have £2500 to put in it in April but I need to withdraw over £3k in September and wouldn't have the £2500 left. I'm struggling to find the t&c online and was hoping someone could link me to them so I can see if there's any reference to this. I wouldn't want to have to close the account as obviously I'd be leaving myself without an ISA for the rest of the year. If I can't keep the account open with a balance of under £2500 then I need to be looking elsewhere.Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Cheshire's ISA has the same rate with no 'minimum' deposit.. but go below £1k and the rate drops to nothing (0.25%)0

Thanks! I was put off by a postal access account but I see this AA account has some bizarre thing going on with cheques as well so I should probably let that go. I've never had an account without online access before, I guess I'm showing my age here, but how does postal access work? How would I get my money back out again? They'd post me a cheque?Sealed Pot Challenge #239

Yes or, still by post, you can request electronic transfer to another bank account.0

FWIW the AA seem to have messed up their website. Clicking on their 'Internet Access ISA (Issue 3)' links takes you to a page about the 'Postal Access ISA (Issue 3)'.Stompa0

Well, you send a form, but yes

I'm inside their branch network area so wonder what would happen if I try to withdraw over the counter.0
