Does that sound correct? And also would you split the petrol to include you as the driver or just between your passengers?
I've done this loads of time with friends and we just split the petrol money, also to not include yourself I think is a bit cheeky x0 -
Petrol money onlyWhen I have done this in the past I have never asked for petrol money, hence my vote0

Petrol money onlyI would welcome a contribution but not ask for a specific amount, especially as you are all friends I presume?A minute at the till, a lifetime on the bill.
Nothing tastes as good as being slim feels.
one life, live it!0 -
i would fill the car up before leaving then fill up when you arrive and then times it by 2 then devide by the 4 of you. That way it works out fare and there can be no bad feelings if you tell them this is what you are going to do beforehand0

I would split it 3 ways and have a free ride to cover wear and tear and the chore of driving if I paid for fuel as I don't ( except for a huge tax bill on my company car and fuel card) I don't take petrol money but I accept breakfast en route in lieu and a contribution to any parking charges. I think £25 per passenger is reasonable unless you can get a train for less in which case I would get the train.0

Petrol money onlyI would just ask for the petrol money and pay my share too so that it would be split 4 ways.
I think if i added a bit it would be like taking advantage of my friends and friends dont do that. Could it cause a falling out, maybe so I wouldnt risk it to be honest.
Post 15 sounds about right.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
As your passenger, I wouldn't expect you to be seeking a profit.
But at the very least, I would want to make sure you arrived home with more petrol in your tank than when you set out.0 -
Is there a specific pick up and drop off point?
If not I'd be asking at least £35 per person.I'm not that way reclined
Jewelry? Seriously? Sheldon you are the most shallow, self-centered person I have ever met. Do you really think that another transparently-manipu... OH, IT'S A TIARA! A tiara; I have a tiara! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me! Put it on me!0 -
Send your lift share calcs to your friends and then everyone knows up front. Or round it up and then once you have calculated the actual miles you do, use lift share to calculate each's share and give them change.
Or just tell them it will probably take about £60 of fuel so either £15 or £20 each depending on how many are coming with you. And get it up front.
However I'd also not take any money if it were me; I've never taken money for fuel, as friendship is a symbiotic relationship and what I get back more than covers fuel.If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.0 -
