Woah, 300 jobs in only 6 months!! Thats like £9000 a year at this rate!!! NINE THOUSAND POUNDS!!!!! you really should think carefully about investing some if it.0 -
Is it in the PC Callout Job Description that you are unable to understand the difference between THERE and THEIR??
All of you completely unrelated PC Callout paupers make the same spelling mistakes..... or are there sinister forces at work here??0 -
Thanks to this forum I will be avoiding this company having been accepted after just a telephone interview the other day.
Sounds like they should be on watch dog.0 -
just came across this thread by accident, and felt it warranted a reply. I've worked for PC-Callout for around six years, and overall I've been happy with them. I don't treat it as my main source of income - I fit it in around other on-site jobs I do for my own customers and other agencies. The mileage rate isn't brilliant, but I usually find I can manage things so that can piggyback my own jobs onto many of the PCC ones. You have to understand that the relationship is that of a free-lance contractor, you're not employed by them. The work level isn't enough to make it a viable full-time job.
I've never had any money issues with them, and on average I get around 100 jobs a year from them. Not a lot, but it all helps when added to my other work. The only times I had disputes was when I was at fault over misplaced paperwork
If anyone has read this thread and has been put off them, don't be. They are a reputable straight company, and they treat contractors correctly as long as you don't try to take the **** by pinching customers off them. I see that some of the contributors to the thread appear to have done just that.0 -

and whats wrong with that? I came across this thread and site by accident while I was checking something else. I find incorrect statements about the company by a number of people. some of whom have never even worked with PCC. its only correct that I should point out the errors. Just because its my first post, it doesn't make me wrong.
You've now had contributions to the thread from two of PCC's longest serving engineers, both of whom are happy with their relationship with the company. Why on earth do you disbelieve us, yet take the word of someone who left after a short time? From what I can see the short-term relationship was either because the leavers assumed incorrectly that they were on a high-volume job (PCC have never represented the work as high-volume: indeed they go to pains to make sure you reallise this. ) Or else the leavers failed to follow the rules in handing in paperwork and customer payments on time. Thats the only way contractors payments would be delayed.
PCC have never represented themselves in any way to myself of any of the other contracting engineers I am in contact with. I've never had any payment problems with them. And in terms of professionalism they are a lot better organised and give better customer service - and better support to their engineers - than most of the other contractors I also work for0 -

I was Googling for a news report which I thought may have named the company. This was a false positive hit - came around third or fourth by Google ranking.
As for your help - no, I don't think I'll be needing that.0 -
PC callout Ltd make no background checks on any of their "engineers", which I find disgraceful considering they could be visiting elderly or vulnerable people.
There could be rapists, sex offenders and even murderers working for PC Callout, and no-one would be the wiser. Afterall, if you phone a so called reputable company you expect their staff to have been vetted to some degree surely.0 -
I recently made contact with PC CALL OUT I was looking forward to giving it ago. I have been out of work since 2002 due to serious spinal problems which have now been operated on. A tough time for all my family, this seemed like a great opportunity. I spoke to a very well spoken lady who seems very genuine. So being careful as we should all be, I looked into this seemingly ideal business, I found that an actual office did not exist but was an actual lie to gain credibility a false shop front. This is what I found. Google (Virtual Office London-Regent Street) needless to say I was gutted to the point of tears so was my wife and kids, I felt like I had been kissed by Judas himself. I have contacts in London who will be checking out to find out if there really are offices for PC CALL OUT LTD. If this does indeed prove to be a scam I will be following up on them and will do everything in my power to get this sorted out, from what I have researched so far they will go down with an almighty crash. I don't like being messed around like this. It seems like they are sort of PC engineer pimps. I believe genuine good guys who can do the job well should try and start a business them selves go find out what you need to do, you have the knowledge and experience all you need to do is find out the legalities, get liability insurance and tools and software etc and go for it. Be fair and honest look after your clients and they will give you good press, unlike other people we could all mention. May the good guys of this world unite against scammers. Thank you for helping me find out a little more on this folks. Good luck everyone. GO FOR IT!
PS Any thoughts on this folks. Do you have any more info on this etc.0
