I doubt it, we already had a thread but it got moved to discussion time. I don't know who did it, they didn't have the bottle to put their name to it, they just pop in now and again and move posts at random.0 -

Thanks for the coffee tip, getting low on Nescafe and was hoping Morries would do the £2.50 offer again - settle for £2.78 for the time being though - hopefully get some tomorrow.

hate to thing what they call me,. crazy probably,
i bulk buy on items the family uses, its not uncommon for me for instance to go into lidl and buy 10 packs of 24 toilet rolls when they are on offer, of 16 packs of Ariel, lidl dont seem to mind.
When i did my shopping in tescos the other week cat food was £1.84 half price, and i bought 24 packets, + the 10 packs of ariel, twice. they didnt seem to mind.
or iceland with their £3.50 pg-tips for 240bags, mind you when morrisons and tesco had it for £2.42 i did go a little over board and buy 36 packets.0 -
It's been ages since I bought my last jar there!
I don't drink a lot of coffee. You wouldn't want me overstimulated, I assure you.

andy2004 - do you use coupons??
I stock up with the use of coupons and glitches (luckily the combination of both)!!
Quite proud of my "little corner shop" and once you have your "stash" you just need to tick-over and buy when cheap to top up. God knows how much stuff I've had for free/near free??
Check the coupon thread out, they are the true "Professional Shoppers" - quite funny really how they hit the shops and manufacturers hard - they completely turn the tables. I was amazed at first and of course sceptical, but I've been "educated" and learned my "trade" and it's great fun and money-saving. :money:

In Tesco yesterday, the cheese aisle was one ribbon of YELLOW.
It seemed every cheese had an reduced or bogof or 3 for 2.0 -
This is a not good. Now that the major supermarkets have sussed out our habits they'll be planning a new strategy to get us spending our cash! They'll be flashing yellow stickers and fake prices, drawing us in and hooking us! I'm worried!
We're fighting back...
Supermarket tricks - watch out for these...

The whoopsied items were just too good to miss>>>>>
Looks like I have become a professional shopper or just a canny old biddy who wants her pension to streeetch a lot further.:rotfl:The days of folk been fooled by the big supermarkets maybe over .You can only fool some of the people some of the time then they wake up0 -
Its not just supermarkets rippng us off, it's manufacturers too. For example in ASDA you save 45p per 100g by buying the refill packs of Nescafe and NOT the 500g tin. Often if you buy multiples of a smaller size it works out cheaper than the big box/pack/tin. We assume the big one will work out cheaper but those shelf edge labels tell the true picture per 100g.
I'm a semi professional shopper as I buy in bulk at best price I can find and my freezer is just sooo useful. I don't coupon and I don't yellow sticker except for veg. I do go to Lidl first though.0
