The manager sees them do it and takes no action. I wouldn't actually want to speak to him about it as I know many of the staff personally and wouldn't want to cause any trouble for them, or to let it be known I was complaining.

Can't believe he happily allows it though.

I've seen plenty of short customers doing it in shops. I've even seen some sitting on the edge of the lower down fridges
When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

Next time you see it happening, if you have a camera on your phone, take a picture of it.
A copy of this sent to senior management (or posted on Facebook or somewhere similar) would probably have far more of an effect than sending a simple letter.

I am with this view. Facebook it on an open album (not one with your children in, please; I don’t want Mr Ree moaning about irresponsible parents) and make sure it’s shared to friends for good effect.

My husband did this to Ford when a gearbox went on a 6 month old car; in the bodyshop within 3 days on warranty, with a service manager moaned at by his boss.

Do you lick the packaging of the food you buy?

Dirt on food packaging can easily transfer to haands or worktops and I just don't think staff should be allowed to stand on food packaging with outdoor shoes!

A manager should NOT be allowing this. Hygiene regulations aside, it goes against health and safety regulations. A staff member would be in their rights to refuse to climb shelves in such a dangerous manner.

This does not go on in my area, too many customers around here would be happy to take photographic evidence of such major breaches.

So from that comment, I assume that you would have no objection to anyone spitting on or smearing dog mess on the outside of the packets of food that you are going to be picking up to put in your trolley.
After all, you're not going to be licking the packaging are you?

hopefully if a customer is found taking photos of staff in a shop and then putting them on Facebook, they'd be done for stalking/harassment.

There is nothing to stop anyone taking photo's inside a shop providing that there isn't a clear sign stating that it is not permitted.
Providing that something untruthful isn't stated or implied when posting the photo's on facebook, someone would have a very hard (and expensive time) to show that stalking or harassment took place.

I would be interested in seeing a shop employee trying to sue a customer for taking a photograph that showed that same employee breaking health and safety and hygiene regulations.
It would generate far more negative publicity for the store than the photograph ever would.

The pictures don't need to show any identifying information like faces. A shot with heads chopped off/blanked out would not be "stalking" but would still show what is happening. Obviously they'd still need something to show the store, but that might be possible from just uniforms - and then all you have is someone from "a branch of" wherever. Even if it's identifiable as a particular location there will be many employees there so it can't be classed as "stalking".

    Stop being ridiculous.
