Watching the Olympics and loving every minute of it, so comps and Drivel on back burner....the Fitflops I won have just been delivered, and I love them...hubby keeps having a little giggle at me in purple suede with sparkly things on them....was expecting a Macbook Air and iPhone to be delivered yesterday ( my son has had new ones) and he had his 'castoffs' couriered to me, they were collected Monday at 1pm, his PA handled it for him, I've seen the consigment details and all OK until 18.00, signed for on collection from his office....then....nothing...I never left the house yesterday , had key in the door in readiness, the extra doorbell thingy moved around the house with me,and can see the drive clearly from my position watching the telly....son got his PA on the job this morning and the delivery people said they tried to deliver the parcel yesterday but no-one was in...liars...and then, they said they posted a card through the door with details for me to arrange re-delivery....liars....son is now fuming( and so am I, as was on edge all day waiting for such a fab parcel to come he has contacted them personally, ( he is so busy and doesn't really have time for this,he his top man in this country for a large international company, )he received an apology and been told it will definitely be delivered today.....so another day for me , not daring to move far from the front door.....last week hubby saw a card on the mat, he had been in but no-one rang the bell...it informed him that a parcel had been left in the porch...strange that as we don't have a porch!!! He opened the door and there was a huge box from Amazon on the step, he looked at the card , it was from Yodel and it was clearly addressed to next door, and he knew they were not in, so he took it in , out of the rain, and gave it to the neighbours that evening....had we been dishonest, we could have kept it and said nothing, next door would have no idea that we had it....what a joke having things delivered is these days.

My postie has just been and I saw a large Gold jiffy on the mat. I wasn't expecting anything, but when I opened it I just kept saying omg, omg, cos it was such a lovely surprise I got from BP.

    thank-you005.gifthank-you007.gif

Your so kind and generous BP. I am going to Blackpool again the beginning of September, so make some room for some more d/w stuff as I will be dropping some off on the way back :beer:

I'm not feeling too great, prob due to the carp weather so will catch up and reply to pm's later, I just had to thank BP asap.

    .
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Guys, a strange thing was heard in Asda today.

I was handing my coupons to the SA, and she scanned them when a man, looked like a supervisor went along the row of tills and spoke to each SA. He said to the one i was using

"you know about the double the discount vouchers don't you, you know what to do hmm" my sa replied "yes, we write it down on the piece of paper attached to a clipboard next to the till".

what is an asda double the discount voucher folks..... never heard of it.

A Google shows ASDA employees have had "double discount" days where they get 20% off instead of the usual 10%

Have just had to call vet to book in my kittycat for tomorrow she just isnt looking right, she stopped eating biscuit about a week ago so we have swapped her to meat in jelly but he is only eating less than a pouch a day of that and she has stopped grooming herself so her fur looks "wrong" (cant explain it but just doesnt look healthy), and when she just got up to get her tea her back legs gave way :( got an appointment to get her looked at tomorrow she is abt 13 yrs old so im not sure how much they will be able to do but fingers crossed....
