Good morning AH, PM, Blue and everyone else

Well we have sunshine (at least for a while) here. Just hope it stays like this for a while or AH will be right and we will all get SAD.

You can see why people get fed up and sad can't you, the weather is so miserable for July.

I hope everyone has a good day today and gets in plenty of wombling.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

And love your workings on Holiday post:j

I am pretty torn on the debate about tesco points. But mine are mainly collected from bonus points deals so not actually spending alot of cash per say on shopping. All my spending in a month is done on my Tesco credit card then we clear off in full each month so I acrue points on all my expenditure which I would be spending anyway I also get the higher rate 1pt for £2 spend. I have actually done very little shops in T's for months now. I did the phone deals around Christmas for DH & I got 20000 points x2 which we will use in deals at x4 (as we don't tend to use x3 offers) so will get £1600. I have used some to get DS3 a unlimited cinema pass for cineworld at £75 which would have cost £179.88 in cash, so not the x4 but he has a card where a carer goes free with him so 2 peolple with his existing card and pass. It was something we had always wanted to get him but worried at the £14.99 a month DD so we were happy with the offer from T's. We have bought many holiday deals in the past that were fantastic deals with rewards but these have become more difficult laterly to achieve granted, with restriction put on usage. I do agree that shopping in T's is a much more unpleasant experience than any other supermarket, I never really shopped at A's until the APG's started and tip off's from this thread. S's was my main shop for groceries for many reasons easy to drive/park at & DS's discount helps:D;) and feel the food a better quality especially meat which I never purchase at T's or A's. But through this site I have learn't to check all 3 out before I do specific purchases and use them to my advantage where I can. But 10years + I was T' shopper through and through not so now adays.

Now thats alot of early morning waffle:D that's why I am so jealous of the way MAGS posts come across so well and to the point:A

I shouldn't be on here was supposed to submit evidence to LA on the lack of lessons DS3 has had over the last 5 years for a panel mtg whch was suppossed to be in yesterday but they only answered my email Thurs:eek: as the new school want him held back a year so he doesn't have to do his GCSE's 2yrs in 1yr as he shoud be starting yr 11 in Sept but he has a mountain to climb to catch up and already missed crucial exams. But the LA very reluctant as they see it as costing them an extra year funding don't see how as they have a duty until he is 19 anyway due to his special needs so would just mean him missing a year the other end but atleast he would have a better shot at descent GCSE's and being in the residential school they would now have more time to bring him up to speed to maybe sit some A'levels over the three years he would have there. Trouble being they will only agree a year funding at a time so if the schoool entered him as yr 10 they may pull funding next April and he wld never finish the courses:mad: It's the uncertainty that's the problem if they would just say he could stay there 3 years until he is ninteen the school can work around the difficulties. Would you believe it we tried getting an answer at our Mtg on the 29th but again they sat on the fence so we wld know what is happening for Sept but they have arranged his review mtg for end of Oct:eek: . So am preying that they will make some sort of decision at this panel mtg on Wed the last one until start of term.

sorry I don't agree with Doc!

the employers don't get paid the £1500 grant until week 8.

otherwise loads of employers would do it.

yep, I am right, there is a minimum contract of 12 months.

    MT, will email you privately.

That is why I said "we used to take apprenticeship" ( I am talking about 6-7 years ago!). During that time - we were supposed to keep this lad for 1 month but within 2 weeks we had to let him go as he is not cut out to do the work.

I did not signed any contract with the college that time.

Now that you mentioned that there is a min. contract of 12 months - its no wonder some companies not willing to take them.

Wow...woke up to lots of posts......AH....what offers are there that are 4x...didn't know there were any these days...
I think you are right in the hokiday for you Quoia, obviously, but .i can assure you the holidays I have had are not cheaper anywhere else.....I check every single tour operator , Cosmos now have a seperate online booking site using deals, before it was by phone and was brochure price, but now it is the exact same online price, using vouchers or paying cash....have compared them with other tour operators andthey are ,ike for like, except, with Cosmos the rooms are better....we always go to 5* hotels , andthis usually means higher luggage allowance included and private transfers, hubby hates sharing airport transfers, we complained to Thomas Cook whilst in Madeira as we were transferred by coach , when it clearly stated , private transfer when we booked...they sent a taxi when we were returning to the airport.Don'tget me wrong, hubby is not a snob, just doesn't want a tour round all the hotels, just wants the shortest trip.We usually go for the better room too, this time we are havng a junior suite, so I have spent hours and hours comparing and Cosmo have come out the best.....I also use my Tesco Credit Card so points accrue on everything I buy using it....I take your point on Asda being cheaper, but I can't stress this enough....I hate their stores...loathe them...please do not take this the wrong way, but the shoppers at my nearest one are not the nicest either.....I never , ever go shopping unless I have made an effort with my appearance....would never dream of shopping the way some people do , and the scruffiest seem to be in Asda....I also do not like their fresh produce.....I'm careful to look for bargains in T's and think I do very well, but hubby does insist on their Finest Range which is the closest to M&S that I have tried, basic stuff is Ok from other supermarkets, but I have to go to T's for their Finest stuff .This is personal choice , and the closest T's to me is in a nice suburb , it is not a huge store, and the customers reflect this, even though the staff can be awkward, some of them are extremely nice. It's personal choice.....I'm shopping this morning, which means , shower, hair washed, a smart outfit(which will not include anything in lime green.....lol) and make-up on before I leave the house....I know I have more time than a lot of people in this mad rushed world, but it's the way I am and have always been....

Incidentally FV, I "found" an old one "down the back of the sofa" yesterday (not literally :D)

I printed it out yesterday morning 13/7 and used it last night

It was dated 11/01/12 and I'd checked it 13/01/12

(I always mark them with date & value on the back)

It wouldn't let me even check one that was dated 12/06
