SND - so sorry to hear of your loss, follow your heart regarding going to see your dad - it's times like that our hearts often have the best advice for us xxxHry Kerri,
Sorry you are ill but glad you had a good time, would you reccommend theme parks?
I am petrified of those rides but feel bad that my children have not been and feel like a bad mummy not taking them
I remember being taken to TP as a kid by my parents and still think of it fondly when I go now even though the park has changed so much so I'd say 'yes' to taking the kids if you can stand it - you don't need to go on all the scary rides, there's plenty of smaller ones and other side shows / things to see, its the whole atmosphere that makes the day not just the scary rollercoasters. Thanks for the details about the dairy, think I'll give it a miss.
I hope you had as good a time at Thorpe Park as I had at Alton Towers. It's very tiring though all that fresh air and walking:eek::eek:
We were done in too - must've walked miles, plus all the blaring music does kinda give you a bit of a headache eventually (that and lack of my usual gallons of tea :rotfl:) Haven't been to Alton Towers since I was at school and they still had the Corkscrew and Thunderloop there - we're a bit spoiled here as TP and Chessington are both pretty clost, and Legoland for the younger ones.
Big hugs to all this weekend xxFeb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

How is your mum coping? Are you an only child/have you everything to sort out? I hope your managing ok.I was thinking that too, have you any other siblings? I hope your mum is okay too.
Did your dad manage to speak about his wishes to your mum or yourself?
I am an only child but have a wonderful hubby who has been doing lots of phoning around letting people know. Also DS & GF came up tonight, although they had gone away for a weekend together last night when we had to call and tell them. Told them not to come, but it has been so lovely having them around.
Mum not coping well at all, they had been together for 65 years so a very long time.
Dad did talk to me about his wishes, but not to mum and she wouldn't talk about death. Now I just need to persuade mum to carry out dad's wishes.0 -

Morning everyone
SND how sad it is to read this morning about your Dad:A my heart goes out to you all. Your mum must be so lost all them years together it's going to be a very difficult time for you all to adjust to his loss:(:(:(:(:(:(.
As for you going to see your dad your heart will guide you just trust in it. Everyone deals with things in their own way no right or wrong way just what ever is needed for you at the time. A few years ago my DH's mum passed away he went everyday to see her that gave him peace until the undertakers advised him otherwise as the funeral was over 2weeks in the arrangements and in hot weather, but his brothers and sisters only visited the first time initially. It could have also been due to him being the oldest and felt it was his responsibility to keep an eye out for his mum. Again it is a shame you have no sibling to share your grief with but atleast you have a wonderful DH and DS to support you.
