I agree with Aesop about going to see your Dad. Thrown into a nightmare and having no experience of seeing someone who had left this world I was reticent, hell - scared to say the least about seeing Chloe, but from the moment I was alone in that room with her I felt such serenity. I spend every moment possible with her during the days before she was laid to rest. I used the opportunity to tell her all I wished I had a chance to say before, read her favourite childhood stories, stroked her hair and her flawless skin and kissed her coldness. Of course, there were tears, a tsunami of them, they fell, in slow motion and got mixed in with my words but I am so thankful that I did for you never ever get another chance. My only regret is not keeping for myself a lock of her hair, I so wish I had, it might be something you would like to do.
I appreciate its not for everybody and I may myself feel different when its my parents' time but I have absolutely no regrets whatsoever.
Be guided by your heart and trust its decision. Thinking of you at this so difficult timex

I skim read the other thread, and I would have thought the "season/glitches/whoopsie finders" would be more weary what should & should not be posted on an open forum:eek::eek:
Me don't think that posting their pictures will do good for those who shop at that particularly store.:(
I am still adamant that tekco management/staff read their thread. I have started writing supermarket is different spelling so they cannot find any of my posts if they do a seach.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -
TeKco puts a cap on pric3 ch3ck vouch3rs as it reshapes comparison service
By Debbie Davies
PUBLISHED: 09:20, 16 June 2012 | UPDATED: 12:17, 16 June 2012
Tekco has introduced a cap of £10 on Tekco Pric3 Ch3ck vouchers, a new name for its lowest price shopping basket guarantee and new terms for its pric3 comparison service.
Tekco's Pric3 Ch3ck service has been available to price econscious customers since last year. Shoppers use Tekco's pric3 comparison website to check the price of their shopping against Asda prices and discover if the equivalent basket would have cost less from Asda. The service gives customers who have paid more a T3sco Pric3 Ch3ck voucher to whatever the value of the difference is, up to a maximum of £20.
When the comparison service launched, it offered shoppers vouchers for double the difference. After eight weeks, however, this was changed to just the difference after customers discovered the scheme could be used to make a profit. :rotfl:
New title: Tekco has changed the name for its lowest pric3 shopping basket guarantee from Pric3 Ch3ck to Pric3 Pr0mise
Asda launched a similar price comparison website in 2010 called Asda Price Guarantee. It claims many of its customers are hooked, returning every week to compare prices with the hope of saving an extra few pounds off their weekly shop.:D
When Asda is not the cheapest, customers are entitled to receive a voucher refunding them the difference plus 10 per cent.
Tekco claims the changes it is now making, which include a name change to Tekco Pric3 Pr0mise, are the result of talking to customers.
A spokesperson for Tekco said: 'Our plan for the UK business has pric3 and value at its heart. We've been listening to what our customers tell us they want to see from us on price comparison, and we're going to be making some simple changes to our pric3 comparison offer.
We are changing the name from Pric3 Ch3ck to Pric3 Pr0mise, which is a direct result of our conversations with customers.'
Marketing materials about the new website have been introduced in some stores in Sheffield.:eek: 'We want to be sure we're giving customers the best possible information when we start to promote the website nationally,' said Tekco's spokesperson. The new terms are not yet being enforced to allow a change over period, but will be in the next few weeks.
Reshaping: Tekco is changing their services for pric3 conscious customers
The new service is exclusively for Tekco Clupcard customers:eek::eek:, reflecting the supermarket's commitment to put Clupcard 'at the heart of everything it does'.
Vouchers will be bar code read rather than having a printed face value manually entered and deducted at the checkout (ok, I think this is better for the checkout to scan rather than enter the value ie : like I said before less than £10 it will scan without calling supervisor).
Like Asda's comparison service, shoppers must have at least eight different items in their basket in order to compare.
The changes have not been welcomed by customers on Tekco's FB page. 'If you are so confident of your pricing, why introduce the cap?' wrote a shopper in the name of Andrea Minx.
Customers said they were regularly receiving Pric3 Ch3ck vouchers in excess of £10. A shopper using the name Kelly Erker was expecting a Pric3 Ch3ck voucher for £17.92 and had not yet printed it. 'When I went to print it this morning, it takes me to the 'Pric3 'Pr0mise'' site and no voucher. I've noticed that you have now capped the limit at £10. How can I get my voucher?', she asked.
A spokesperson for Tekco said customers using the Pric3 Pr0mise website would find that the new conditions were not being enforced yet, so any vouchers due under the previous terms would still be available to print.
'The vast majority of shoppers will not be affected by the changes. Fewer than 5 per cent of vouchers issued are for over £10:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: and the vast majority are for less than £2.00 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: for the minority of customers who find their shopping basket would have been cheaper at Asda,'
Introducing a requirement for eight different items brought Tekco's service in line with competitors. 'The average basket size at Tesco is 10 items ,' said Tekco.
Customers on Tekco's FB page disagreed.
'I often shop on a daily basis for fresh produce so don't always buy 8 items at a time. Now that I have to buy 8 items from Tekco, I may as well take advantage of the cheaper prices and better pric3 promise that they offer at Asda,' said Ms Minx.
A spokesperson for Asda said: 'We believe Asda does more than any other retailer to ensure its shoppers get the lowest prices in the country – something backed up this week by the Grocer Magazine, who named Asda the UK’s lowest priced supermarket for the 15th year running.'

Tesco have a big stand as you go in a certain store in Sheffield and they are handing out leaflets about the new price promise. It is a massive cockup AGAIN by Tesco as nowhere on the leaflets does it say that you have to have a certain number of items, OR you have to use your clubcard OR it is capped ay ANY amount. It basically says you just put your recieipt in the price promsie website and if they are cheaper you will get a voucher back.Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)
