Just got 60 packs of 3 x DVD-Rs from Tesco Weston-super-Mare.
180 DVDs for £6.Mr. Corleone is a man who insists on hearing bad news immediately0 -
I would suggest asking for an MSE discount at car boots in future, I can't believe people are selling the 10p stuff for £1 ----
I was only going to charge 50p!!0 -
There was still things at my local today, but I wasnt tempted.
Must admit I didnt get any 10p things that im going to take to the car boot. I will be using them for stocking fillers & party bags & for my own use.
I will be taking toiletries from tesco, No7 sun cream, botanices etc to the car boot. This is after I have donated to school/playgroup/village fete & cricket club. I always need a little extra cash for the childrens birthdays etc.
I thought half price / 3420 -
Come on guys, are you not satisfied by saving money for things you need by looking here? If you're really that hard up you wouldn't have regular access to the internet, or a computer with which to do so. There's no need to buy up bargains to sell on. And if you do you should be declaring earnings to tax man etc etc, which I'm sure most, if not nearly all, people do not.
I'm not all that well off and I think it's disgusting that people see cheap things and see it as a way to make money for themselves. It's very selfish to deprive the next person of cheap things, that another buyer might actually use and want, simply for your own gain. If you want to get some extra money look here is what I say http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk/JCP/Customers/index.html If you can do the shopping for a car boot and do a car boot there's no reason you can't work a consistent extra 10 hours or so a week. That's an easy extra £55 a week without relying on stores having things cheap for you to sell them.0 -

Well I work, I'm also studying, I'm part-time self employed (so all my income is declared thank you), OH works full time, and if I choose to sell my bargains on at a still bargain price to people who are too lazy to get off their backside and find the bargains then thats my business. From Tesco I actually bought about £15 worth of 10p stuff to mix in with my daughters old odds and ends the next time we carboot, so I don't think I'll be retiring yet.
I think anyone who is able should be out working, I've worked since before I left school and the only time off I've had is maternity leave for my 1 child.0 -
anewman ,i think your comments are very un called for i have 2 children and i am pregnant,i choose not to work as i want to bring my children up myself ,i claim no benefits at all....i havent managed to get any of the tesco bargains but if i did and i saw an oppertunity (sp) to make a little bit of extra cash then i would...each to there own is my opinion.....Will this hammy hunt ever end ???
So far all 4 hamsters £40,3 beds £15,Skate board and u turn £22,House £25 total £97.00 ....still wanting wheel,car,slide,ball,surf board ....
HAPPY CHRISTMAS EVERY ONE :rotfl:0 -
I am self employed. I have 3 children & I start work at 3.30 am until 8.30 am. I have a 2nd job cleaning ( 3-4 days a week) & then I have to come home & help on the farm. My OH works more than full time, especially in summer 17 hr days. In summer I corn cart & bale the straw whilst he combines. We never have weekends off. We've only had 1 family holiday in 16 years as we cant afford to pay anyone to look after the animals while we are away. ( our farm is rented)
the eldest 2 children have part time jobs in the village. When I do a carboot they think its really fun & they get a share of the profits.
I know it sounds like a sob story but its not & its a great way of life for the children.
BUT
its Bl**dy hard work & I havent the time or energy to get another job!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I managed to pick up loads of stuff for me and my mum, I got dividers, ashtrays, pastry cutters, sponges, cloths, car air freshner and loads more, the cs was standing around and i heard a customer, (sorry if this was any of you) ask her if it was worth her buying now or if they are to be reduced further, i mean 10p aint really breaking the bank is it.................0

I'm 'itching' to get to a Tesco's to see if they have anything left! Does anyone know if Princess Alice Drive or Monkspath have anything left - could then find an excuse to do my shopping after work tomorrow morning.0
