Yes the phone is hardlocked, that means no code will work in it and the only way to unlock it is by cables and hardware, take it to your local unlocking shop and they will unlock it for around £5

I am a newbie and wondered if someone could help me unlock a Nokia 6111. I know the IMEI number but how do I generate a code and enter it?

Post the IMEI number and the network the phone is locked to and I will post the unlock code for you.

hi,
i have nokia 6280, first of all i had my phone firmware upgraded and after like 2 weeks my phone went dead!!, so i took it to nokia repair centre and they said that they couldnt repair it and then they sent it off to nokia, after like 2 weeks i got my phone back but to my surprise nokia couldn't fix it neither so they replaced it with a new one, now i have contacted 3 to get the unlock code they say they cant do that because i have got a new phone and it is not registered to them, so is there any way i can get it unlocked now??

Yes you can contact mse member james-73, he can get unlock codes for 3 phones so its worth giving him a shout.
