Tried a t-mobile sim and it asked for a restriction code (Undo). Is this the same as the unlocking code?

With no sim in the phone try this code first

i have got nokia 6280 and i think i have used up my 5 tires to unlock my phone, cuz first i tired to unlock it with bb5 calculator and used that about 3 times and then i got the code from 3 but that didnt work kept on tellin me 'cannot undo restrictions', the guy on 3 said that i have used up all my tires to unlock my phone and nothing can be done, is it possible that i upgrade my firmware version from nokia shop and then try to enter the code, do u think it will work then??
