Evening all, not been on for a while, hugs and high fives to anyone who needs them, seems lots of people have lots of not nice things going on in their lives right now..chin up, things will get better.
Here, in this house, life is just carrying on as usual, same old, same old, am working hard at OS, sometimes getting it there, and sometimes not, like tonight, just home from a local Italian..was nice but will spend next couple of days trying to recoup the spends from my grocery budget, hey ho, just me and OH, enjoyed it but will worry tomorrow. Used one of my birthday vouchers at weekend and had a pedicure, thoroughly enjoyed it, also had voucher for hair do, so looked and felt a million dollars last weekend, one shower later and I look like something the cat dragged in, whats going on with that??Off to browse the threads and try to catch up, then make lunches for tomorrow, roll on weekend again. Night night CaitCait, at long last signing on:rotfl:0 -
Thank you all for your kind words about DD's exams, everything has calmed down now and we're looking to see what can be done. The school thinks there's been a problem somewhere with the Economics exam that they all failed, there's two parts to the exam and they suspect that the marks haven't been added together. Her teacher is apparently very good and his classes always do quite well, he's also a Chief Examiner with one of the exam boards so he's not happy, DD said he looked close to tears when he was talking to them. The school are going to query the results and pay for remarks and if necessary resits for the whole class.
DD is still very surprised about her maths failure, her teacher also thought she should have done much better so we're going to pay the £15 for a copy of her script so it can be checked over by the school and if necessary remarked or a resit in June, whichever her teacher thinks is the best option.
She's got offers from universities but obviously she's worried now that she's not going to make the grades and we'll have all the fun of clearing. I'm finding DD's exams much more stressful than when I did my own!
