He came back with another name. Can't remember it now. Sussed that one out pretty quickly, cleaver joined in and the name dissapeared.

This ones a more recent reincarnation.

Whatever happened to cleaver more ot the point.

I haven't been around that much myself, I didn't even realise that cleaver has disapeared, when did that happen?

This forum board is doomed anyway but cleaver's absence will bring that day forward. He was one of a few posters that seemed to be able to avoid getting involved in all the pettiness which prevails here.

Its the old chewbacca defence,or de-rail it by other means, you'd at least expect devon to acknowledge the facts presented.

Still no one ever gets them HSBC deals.......so claim the bears.

yeah, notice how we've moved on from the actual point now, to dancing on a pinhead. i guess after 40,000-odd posts you get pretty good at that sort of thing, must be those forumonics he keeps going on about i.e. ask for something and when it's given to you, put up the mother of all smokescreens

    isn't that right graham

as for me, its a bit of a dilemma now. i can't prove i'm not 'chucky', all i can do is say it. i know its true, at least. although i will admit to having some fun with the comparison when it was first made a few weeks ago - i.e. calling dervprof 'desperateprof' just for kicks and giggles :rotfl:

maybe i should just embrace the untruth and start completely impersonating the guy. i already dropped him a PM to tell him that he's apparently alive and well - sure he'll have a good giggle about it ;)

i'm sure he's really going to love this you know, you accusing random people of being him. he must have made quite the impression on you.

you let me know when you want to acknowledge that you asked someone to name some 85%+ mortgage deals and that's exactly what i gave you though.

i wouldn't want that point to get lost in all your bluster, although i'm sure you would ;)

I'll let you in to a little secret Hamish: When I took the MENSA test my IQ was 155 (on the 'easy' Cattell-B scale). That's top 1%. In fact nearly everything about me is top 1% :j, depending on how you want to measure it.

I know people with good IQs and I know people who are actually intimidatingly clever and the overlap isn't all that large. Obviously I don't know you from Adam, but if your point was to persuade others your smart I don't think your method is likely to be effective.

the only indignant wailing i've noticed is from savers because banks have cut interest rates on their accounts, decreasing the free money they get. did all those people truly expect to be paid generously forever for doing nothing with their money?

    i've got a halifax mortgage

Just where do you think the money came from to enable you to obtain your mortgage?

    No savers - no mortgages.
