Hi guys,
Thank you
Yes, telling Mr OneDay is a huge weight of my mind, and I feel like I can be myself again without being scared that I might "say something I shouldn't". I'm very, very pleased I did it.
Mr OneDay is now accepting £50 over six months instead of £100 over 3 months for my holiday payment - on the condition that the other £50 each month goes to the credit card. So my standing order to M&S has been changed today to £250.
I have told him my username on here as well so that if he wants to read about how I'm doing, what I'm thinking, how you wonderful people are helping me etc etc he can.
Sold two items on eBay over the weekend, and listed 10 more so hopefully that'll help.
I need to post my budget for the month on this thread. Will do that this evening (have now set up a spreadsheet but it is on my home computer and I'm posting from work... shhhh! don't tell the boss!)
You'll notice I've added my DF date to my signature.... looks good to me!Pennies make pounds.

Hi One Day
I also told my wife two weeks ago about my £27000 debt, it was the hardest thing I ever had to do as I am sure yours was, I also just came out with it but you are right, it was a huige relief for me and also after a strained few weeks we are working it out together and finally things are looking up. After being in the same boat as you I have the utmost respect!22/07/07 Debt - Tesco 17644 (6.1%) - Now 10500

Hi Southwester,
I read your thread when you first posted a few days ago before I told hubby and I remember thinking how brave you were. I also remember thinking - if he can do it, so can I
So thank you! Pennies make pounds.

Well done for telling your hubby, it must be a weight off your mind. I'm so glad he was supportive. Your debt free date is really not that far away. Good luck with the eBay sales, hope you make a decent amount from them."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250

** Miscellaneous income is the minimum extra income I plan on earning this month - eBay, selling stuff at work, acting as a copy typist for a student (very low rate of pay, but I'll be helping someone out with my skills). £100 is a modest target - I have quite a lot of good stuff to sell on eBay and I expect to be over this. We're only on 2nd April and already I'm at £14.Pennies make pounds.

hello just wanted to say well done on the progress so far-are you really only spending 20 quid on groceries-have you got loads in freezer/cupboards?0

Hi cocalls
Thanks
I knew the grocery thing would come up - I should have put an asterisk in there as well. Mr OneDay pays for our big shops (and has done for the last year or so), the £20 is "top up money" for when I have to go out and by extras ... milk, bread, fresh veg etc.Pennies make pounds.

Just wanted to say if you are spending £7 each month on prescriptions you would be better of with one of these....http://www.ppa.org.uk/ppa/ppc_intro.htmThere are times when parenthood seems nothing but feeding the mouth that bites you Peter De VriesDebt free by 40 (27/11/2016)0

Hi One Day how is going today
My part time job I took on is goign to pay me extra £180 in bank account so hopefully can get two of my debts paid off in 10 months but hoping for quicker. Its my 40th this month so wife had organised a huge party before I told her but she still wants me to have it, I tried to say we can use the money for the loan but the mums, dads etc would wonder what was going on.
Now that she can see me trying my guts out and working extra and bringing in more money I think things will be OK. Bonus - was going to go rugby this Saturday which normally costs around £15, but got invited to a free corporate due, things are looking up
