Oh, and this weekend I AM, somehow, going to tell hubby how much I owe. Ack.

Wishing you lots of luck with this.... I'm sure will be fine, you're in a much better place now than at the beginning of your diary, you could always let him read your diary so he knows just how much you've achieved and done.

I'll be thinking of you xxx

This afternoon I have finally told Mr OneDay about my debt.

I basically came straight out with it - told him there was something I had to tell him and that I knew he would probably be upset and disappointed but that I had to tell him anyway. I said I had debts he didn't know about. He asked what debts? So I told him they amounted to about £9,500.

I always knew that he'd be supportive, and that I am very very lucky to have a husband like him. I never expected that he'd be so wonderful about it. After we'd talked about it a little (and I'd had a few tears, of course) he just said "Well, at least I understand now why you've never got any money!" :)

He was upset that I hadn't told him before, and also that I'd taken that loan out 2 years ago without asking him for help. But he was pleased that I have realised the problem, started to get to grips with it and have finally told him.

I have told him I don't expect him to help me out with this, and that I got myself into this mess and want to get myself out of it. I received lots of cuddles and reassurance and I am relieved to have finally 'fessed up. And now I can continue to work my way to a debt free future with his support, encouragement and motivation. And a lot less worry!
