Excel Parking Services - Car share ticket!!

Hello everyone, I would really appreciate some advice!
Here's the story, I parked in the car park as I do every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. I parked in a car share bay which is often the only spaces free when I arrive, I am allowed to do this because of the fact that I also bring a friend to college with me every day (car sharing)... However, I must clearly display my permits on the dash when I leave the car... One day I returned to my car to find the permits on the floor (they had obviously slipped off throughout the day or blown off when I shut the door) and a parking ticket on my window.... This was over a week ago and I'm yet to pay, which means I owe £60... Should I pay?
Thanks!

Ok thank you, hope you understand why I posted, wasn't going to pay, just needed reassurance0 -
Yes, we understand, it's easy for us veterans, once you have ignored a few it becomes a game because you know you are safe, of course the first time is less easy... but just rationalise, you were entitled to park, so you did nothing wrong. In a world where Excel's main interest was car park management and not extorting money, showing your entitlement would result in the cancellation of the charge... but we don't live in that world, so you just have to cancel the charge yourself.
Not that it was ever enforceable, of course.0 -
also ignore all future threat o grams from roxburghe (zero powers) debt collectors and then ignore the letters from the phoney solicitor,,graham white,,all part of the same scam, so do not worry,, continue to ignore, despite threats.0

Hi guys, just received an update from excel parking! They said that there is not sufficient grounds to take back the charge and they clearly read my challenge because they have quoted me a few times, also in the dispute email, I included my full name as they asked for the full name of the driver
... This was obviously a bad thing to do and I realise now, should I pay them?? Because they know I was driving?
ADVICE PLEASE?!!!:(:(0 -
Please! I'm panicking lol0

Panic you not! This is just the usual meaningless scare tactics employed by the company. You are taking these bunch of clowns far too seriously. They are not the police or the council but a powerless private company with no more right than you or me to demand money off people. Please stop communicating with them! What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

So you engaged with their phoney 'appeals procedure' and unsurprisingly got some templated bollox back, complete with a phishing attempt.
Nothing has changed - ignore them, just as you should have done from day 1.
Expect some threatening junk mail to go to the registered keeper, but ignore everything.0 -
You should now ignore everything they send you. You owe them nothing as they have no loss. In the very unlikelihood you get valid court papers then come back here. All aboard the Gus Bus !0

I'm not going to communicate any more, the only thing I sent to them was a challenge email the day I got the fine but nothing other than that.... Does it not matter that they know I was the driver that day? Thanks for your help.0
