hi, can anyone advise, Im hoping to combine tescoclub deal/legoland with a couple of nights at travel lodge over easter, however we are a family of 5 (two adults plus three children, 9,5, and 1). So the family room would be suitable as little one could go in a cot, however on the web site there is no way to opt for a family room, it comes up as a double room automatically, and then asks how many adults and children but the max choice for children is one!!!! as these offers are internet only I cant call the hotel or call center and confirm that I want a family room, dont want to book on a cross my fingers basis as they can not be cancelled or changed, any advice?????

When you click on the date of your choice, you should then see a section underneath the tariff that says 'We also have:' and certainly for Slough on April 9th, it offers a family room. If you click on this and then go on to book the room, you can select up to 3 children.

hi, thanks for that now saying no super/savers for slough tried staines, tried it and it displayed a saver room, rather than super saver (maybe family rooms are only savers, or all super savers family rooms have gone) anyway this did give me the option to book a family room but although it then gave a choice of up to three children, it said that I could only choose up to 2 children as there were two adults, do babies not count here because they are in a cot and not a bed, or is it a fire risk issue and no more than 4 people (combination of adults, children or babies) can stay in one room? anyone know??
  • I booked one of these £15 rooms paid for weeks in advance for Thurs 29th March to have a bed to go to on getting off the Isle of Man ferry. We arrived at 12:40am to be told the hotel was overbooked and had to drive to another lodge further away from our destination. I had phoned during the afternoon to say we would be arriving after midnight but they still resold our room. I will not use Travelodge again until they stop this dishonest practice.

You'd have thought the least they could do would be to phone the "last man standing" to warn them once their guaranteed room had become ungauranteed - they do have our numbers.

But of course, if they did do that, they wouldn't be able to still charge the overbooked person for their unavailable night's accommodation.

    Profit, profit, profit.

Is it worth reporting them to Trading Standards?
