Hey GR, did you see this company that penny-pincha linked to in the james wellbeloved thread? Is that cheaper than the dog food you just bought for Zara?

I don't have a dog but my mother in law has fed this food to her dogs for years and she really rates it. :T

Frankly no idea as never heard of that company/their food so ...

Not really looking to change zara's food again, took me ages to get her to eat Skinners (and she still hates me for that)

They sell more to the working dog market rather than the pet market. It is a well established company and has a royal crest, so presumably the Queen's dogs are fed it.

As it is only £15.39 for a 15 kg bag. http://www.vitalinpetfood.co.uk/mall/infopageviewer.cfm/VitalinCompletePetFood/VITALINDIRECT They will send you samples if your ask. You came to this forum requesting for help to save money didn't you? http://www.vitalinpetfood.co.uk/ What have you got to lose by trying it out for free? :)

PS. I don't work for them by the way.

You DO have to buy it in large quantities. At least 15 bags at a time. You buy it directly from the manufacturers and the other places you can buy it (that I have seen on-line) only seem to sell in bulk too.

    However if you know different......?.;)

Sorry still disagreeing :o - you DO NOT have to buy in huge quantities.

Maybe online you do but I walked into an agricultural supplies shop last week and was able to buy as many or as few (eg 1 bag) as I wanted.

My free sample arrived & was happily tried (although I will admit Maisie is a typical Lab and will eat pretty much anything).

I've ordered a 15kg bag (the Active one as we've always fed our dogs on a working diet) so will be swapping her over gradually and seeing how it goes (don't particularly like the food she was fed before and do have a bag of Skinners that she's getting switched onto - but as she doesn't need wheat free I thought I'd see how it goes).

    Thanks again Penny_Pincha:T

You're very lucky Rising to have found out where you can buy just one bag locally. There is no point in me asking you for my sake as I live at the other end of the country to you, but perhaps if you post someone else may find it useful. :money: You have now inspired me to find out where I could buy it locally to here. Lots of agricultural suppliers near here some someone must stock it. If I contact White Horse perhaps they could let me know, then I will post here.

I am pleased that your dog likes it and I have saved you some money too. One of my mother in law's dogs she fed, was a Labrador dog, that did so well on it.:T

Does anyone know where can I get 20litre bag of Oko Plus at reasonable price and with free delivery?

I can not afford 40litre (yes I know it would last me 2 months but the initia;l cost at £26 at zooplus is too much), I need to budget MONTHLY....and buy stuff for a month at a time....

Thanks a million if anyone knows?

    Hiya gettingready!

Zooplus do the 20L size for £14, but of course you'd pay for delivery unless you spent another £5 on other essentials.

Most other places seem to do either 10L or 30L, and most also charge delivery if you just ordered that.

Of course, someone else may be able to advise otherwise?

Exactly - there is a delivery charge for 20litre on zooplus buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :(

And with zooplus you know exactly what happens
    1) I order on full price
    2) 5 min later they send an email about "sale"

    grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Also, have you notied recently zooplus tries to add 50p as delivery if you d not opt out from Parcelforce?

Very, VERY sneaky.. have to change to Yodel every time otherwise by default goes to parcelforce and adds 50 pence
