Hiya I'd be interested in the Ipswich food co-op as live in the area. Also the shop is weigh n save and has recently changed hands and now has about 50% less stock but still good. (scoop and save)
Also there is a lovely fruit n veg shop opposite bookworld and next to Oxfam charity shop or close in the same road as BHS & The Ancient house Lakeland PLastics.

It sells a wide variety including seaweed/pulses/extotci veg and normal veg/fruit at market prices and lovely staff too.

Can you tell me where the weigh n' save [ scoop and save] is?
We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.

I usually travel with a friend and stay in a hotel, but am coming down tonight myself and wondered about staying in a b and b instead.

I've probably left it a bit late, but can anyone recommend anywhere?
There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.

St Olaves Precinct? Waah! I came over all nostalgic. My nanna used to take me to a butcher's there when I was little and it had sawdust on the floor. If I am remembering the right place. Ooh heck I moan about Bury (my town of birth) but it is where my past is.

Just logged on to this thread. I live out at Lowestoft (as far east as you can get).
I only wanted to say that I agree with Donna 100% about Swiss Farm. I travel the county daily and try to call in here for meat when I can. The meat is ALWAYs excellent and can be cheaper that the supermarket (fresh chicken breasts for instance). As always you get what you pay for.
Just wanted to say hi. Theres a few of us from Lowestoft on here now.

  • I am Suffolk. Now in Sudbury having moved from Ipswich last year ... but still 'do' the Ipswich thing a couple of times a week!

Dramatically losing my social skills (such as they were!) as I still feel Sudbury is a bit 'hick' (sorry!)

Catching up on threads - let's start an officail' one of our own! (Can we do that - or is this it?!)
