Sure, just depending on my state of undress, I may start charging them £10 a minute :P

But could they not use the line - we know what you are we're just haggling over price. ;)
  • it was an accident, I find the brats who peek under the curtain and whip the curtain open the worst!!!!!

We have both male and female staff working in the fitting room at work, and the usual crowd of husbands/partners waiting outside. You would be amazed how many times I have walked round the corner to find a woman in the middle of the fitting room area in her bra, or a girl in a bikini wandering round. Staff members are under a consensus that we do not wish to see anyone without clothes, this is the reason the fitting rooms have doors! Would you suggest I ask for an apology from every member of customer I have to see walking round half naked? And you should see how embarrassed some of the male members of staff get when they have to deal with this.

I would expect the staff member who opened the curtain was just as embarrassed as your girlfriend.

My girlfriend has lost her mood for the rest of the day and she dont feels like trying any clothes in a shop anymore.

Look on the bright-side, you didn't get dragged around any more clothes shops that day - bonus.

You've had two apologies already - from the staff member involved and from the manager. I'm guessing that, since you're continuing to persue this, you're after £££. Is that correct?

It happened to me and I WAS naked on top. I didn't complain, I didn't want to 'do something about it'. I accepted that these things happen, and it is a risk I take when I decide to try clothing on in a shop. If the curtain isn't accidently whisked open by a member of staff, it could be by a child - children are curious and are always looking under doorways and opening curtains in changing rooms. If I can get over half the city centre seeing my breasts (or lack thereof) I'm sure your girlfriend can get over being seen in a changing room fully clothed, for goodness sake. The poor man was probably more embarassed that she was and I don't suppose your blowing the situation out of proportion helped.

who feels more offended? the girlfriend or you?
When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

Thank you for all of your advise.
As you all may know we are not British. We are Chinese and we do think this is an important issue to us.
If you ask 10 Chinese, I am sure 9 of them will said this is unacceptable with our culture.

I am not asking for any money compensation as it would not help the feeling of her at all. I am after for a written apology and a promise to improve their service.

This is just a small things those staff can do about it, put a female staff in a female section changing room? ask first rather then just open the curtain?

You may laugh by reading this post and make a joke about it, but different people have different feeling regarding to their culture.

I am just asking for advise where I can make a complain about it as I cannot find anything regarding to this on their website.

My thoughts exactly whilst reading this thread. It's easy to be dismissive of others' sensibilities.
