Cake topper has been foundand will be made by this person www.etsy.com if anyone else is needing one. Not cheap, not cheap at all but the cake is a bit non descript without it.
Married 30/08/14 :heartpuls0 -
I've bought my dress!! Very exciting! Also bought my tiara and veil which I now have 11 months to resist the urge to just wear it round the house :-p
Also found bridesmaids dresses that I love! We're going for navy blue and I found some twist & wrap dresses on the BHS website in Sapphire. The long ones were £80 and the short £70 which is a bargain compared to the Twobirds dresses that are the same. Then found a 25% code so got my three adult bridesmaids dresses for £60 each and my younger bridesmaid the shorter one for £52.50! Happy with that, just waiting for them to be delivered so we can see if they fit! I am keeping my fingers firmly crossed as one has arrived and looks gorgeous on bm1!
I want to get the flower girl dress but she's going to grow so much over the next year, so we can't tell what size she'll be! I really hope they have the same style when I come to get it!0 -
MissTeach, what are the BHS Twist & Wrap dresses like? I am toying with the idea of the 'In One Clothing' ones at the moment.
What's your dress like? I ordered mine in June, so first fitting will be around December I guess.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.
Busy saving for my wedding July 2014.

I love them. I'm not sure how to describe the fabric but the dresses are lightweight to wear although the material is heavy enough to create a lovely drape. It has a gorgeous shimmer to it. I just loved the versatility of the dresses as my BMs are all different shapes/sizes/heights! They also sell a matching bandeau top, which I think one of the girls is going to get as she would prefer a bit more support up top. I also looked at the 'In One' website but as BHS had the dresses in the navy colour I wanted and they were cheaper even before I found the discount, I decided to order them.
My dress is not what I thought I'd go for at all! http://www.sinceritybridal.com/wedding_dress/3712
Think my first fitting should be around January/February. Very excited!

Hi everyone, I hope you don't mind me jumping in but I am so excited and loving all the posts in here! (I'm a shameful MSE lurker)
We got engaged last month and have just booked our wedding for 5 July 2014. So far got the venue and registrar sorted and save the dates sent, other than that nothing else done but I am doing my first dress search trip tomorrow!
MissTeach I LOVE your wedding dress!0 -
Thanks Cath and welcome to the thread!
I've had my save the dates sat in the cupboard! Must get round to writing all those envelopes out!
Good luck on your dress search! I only went to one shop. I was only going to look and ended up buying the dress and accessories! Looking for some flat sparkly sandals in a size 8 wide fit that I like is proving very difficult! Have seen some gorgeous jewellery on Etsy too.
Oh that reminds. I also ordered my garter. http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/156678711/bridal-rhinestone-applique-heirloom?ref=sr_gallery_5&ga_search_query=garter+blue+sapphire&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_ship_to=GB&ga_search_type=all&ga_facet=garter+blue+sapphire MSE is probably not the right place for me right now, at least my bridesmaids dresses were bargainous!0 -
9 months to go!!!
and I'm on the shoe and jewellery hunt, found a necklace I like but not sure if I can find things to match it, I would prefer to find a matching set.0 -
New to this post too... 4th July 2014 here. It was meant to be 2013, but venue let us down, and so moved it back a year.
New venue already has deposit paid and registrar booked, so finally can get down to the business of arranging everything else - exciting times!!
In process of losing weight so not planning on looking at dresses until Oct though, so focusing on decorations and invites etc at the moment as they all need sorting still.... a window shoppers paradise0 -

I may have to see if my local BHS has the twist and wrap dresses. I looked at the normal BM dresses and weren't a fan of the material myself. They were too 'bridesmaidsy' for me, which I know sounds ridiculous.
I love your dress, it's beautiful. I adore the neckline and how fitted it is around the top and then has a full skirt. The train to it is amazing! Mine is quite fitted with an A line skirt, lace. Our reception is in a barn, so I didn't want too fussy.Debt free other than a mortgage but still always wanting to save money :j.

I hate the other BM dresses in BHS. The shiny taffeta type material is awful! I'd completely ruled it out for my adult bridesmaids, I can't stand the horrible noise that type of material makes when you touch it!
These are not anything like the other instore dresses. I can't really describe the material and do it justice! It's heavy than a jersey type material but it's soft like that with a lovely shimmer.
Love barn weddings. Your dress will suit that perfectly.
Justengaged welcome to the countdown!
Kacie, I'm struggling with shoes big time. I want flat, sparkly sandal but in a size 8 wide fit and it's not the right time of year! I should have thought about this at the start of the summer. Might have to have ballet pumps, which I'm not too keen on. Can't bear heels and would make me taller than h2b!
Am in love with these earrings: http://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/114447616/grace-victorian-style-bridal-earrings?ref=listing-shop-header-1 but not sure about the matching bracelet and necklace, so don't know whether to wait and find matching set.0
