Hiya gang, thanks for all the well wishes, it made me feel like I am not alone!!! Well I had to go to town this morning as my nose ring somehow feel off!!!! So I had to go and see the body peircer to buy another one, but then one of the mums told me to go to claires and buy a 3 pack as they were cheaper! But of course claires has a sale on so i bought some hello kitty earings for dd and some necklaces for me and it came to £13!!!! It would have only cost me four pounds for the body piercers!!! So I aint going to listen to my friends anymore lol.
But we are sorting the house out as we are going to put it on the market real soon. As I want to live in Saltburn. I love coastal life, but the only downside is my husband is going to have to give up the motorbility car as you can only do 15,000 miles a year. So god knows what Saltburn to Sunderland would be!!! I have asked him why doesnt he house share with some of the young lads. But he isnt keen!
It is lovely and sunny and I am having a lazy day today. Just waiting for Mr royal mail as a little van visits us and he has a cuppa and he tells me all the goss. Little Lady is in her pool again. She did a bottom burp and went look mum jaquizi!!! But the rest of you have a great day!Has anyone seen my last marble:A:A:A:A

When we first got a motabilty car you were only allowed 12,000 miles a year, some years we had a few hundred pounds to pay in excess mileage  but thankfully they let you pay it off monthly.
Saltburn is lovely, are you going to take up surfing?Dum Spiro Spero0 -
Still hanging in there. Very tempted to stock up on various garden bits but also trying to look at what I've got to see if that will do - so far so good. This afternoon I'll be using bits of hose split open to make rubber hinges to attach home made screens together. That will make them stable and easily moveable and might mean I can save my onions from pup.
Breakfast was muesli pudding, lunch homemade coleslaw with chili and frankfurter, dinner is roasted veg and chopped belly pork, already prepped and in the fridge.
Tomorrow will be tempting - I have to go for a blood test and that usually means popping into shops I don't see often"Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass...it's about learning how to dance in the rain." ~ Vivian Greene0 -
A quick calculation is about 18,000 miles a year if you were travelling 5 days a week 52 weeks of the year, it's about 75 miles round trip! Motability have increased their mileage limits, you can now do 60,000 miles over 3 years, so 20,000 miles a year.

But i cannot knit! I was there on Sunday and the air was perfect for the middle one. So it got us thinking. Seaham is great but its cold and full of chavs. So we are now on the lookout!
Such a shame because Seaham was lovely when I was young but unemployment seems to have taken it's toll just like many places, with more work and a bit of money spent on it Seaham could be a lovely little town. I love the north-east coast, I think we've got a spectacular coastline up here but many of the coastal towns have just been left to rot, it's such a shame because a generation or so ago they were prosperous.
I haven't spent a penny today (with the exception of DD's bus fare but I'm not counting that). We've just had a lovely stir fry using up a little bit of pork that I cut off the end of a fillet the other day, sliced cabbage, carrots, spring onions, a few mushrooms and half a pepper that was lying in the bottom of the fridge. I also used a sachet of sweet chilli and garlic sauce that I found lurking in the cupboard. A stir fry is a great way to use up odd bits of veg if you don't fancy soup.Dum Spiro Spero0 -

I couldn't agree more! I finally had my natural yogurt & sliced peaches and it was delish :T and this no buying junk food is excellent for my health (and waist line )
Have arranged to meet my friend tomorrow who I haven't seen since she had her baby. I texted her to say did she want to meet up at lunchtime one day this week. She came back and said yes, lets go for lunch tomorrow & where did I want to go? So I suggested a picnic in the parkso free lunch with my lovely friend :T and she'll never know
Also have just come up with a strategy as tomorrow after work I am going to a lecture with my best friend - I'm much more keen on the topic than her and she said she'll come to keep me company and we can go for a coffee afterwards so it feels like we've been out. Just been thinking about it and think I'll take my flask to work with me so I can make a latte before I leave and I'm going to make some twinks in a bit so we can have a sweet treat :money:
Two social events with two of my favourite people and it won't cost me a penny. Its true what they say about the best things eh?DF as at 30/12/16

Another no spend day! :j I resisted the temptation to go out, I was on my own and feeling lonely, but got into the garden and tidied it up a bit while enjoying the lovely free sunshine! All washing line dried as well.
I managed to make a ruby wedding card with the craft bits I already had in (must sort that draw out soon) so with that, a framed photo (of the bridesmaids and bride and groom) I already had the frame and just have to print out the photo and with the bridesmaid dress I am ready for the party on Sunday. Phew! Dh can wear his suit and I will wear the dress and jacket I wore to dd's wedding.
Todays meals from stores, porridge with maple syrup for breakfast, tuna and boiled egg nicoise salad and freshly speezed fruit juice (using up some sad looking oranges) for lunch and the last of the bolognaise mince with mash potatoes and peas, followed by the last of the baby yogurts for tea.
Church tomorrow followed by a coffee morning then home to walk the dog and carry on de cluttering.
I am finding that not spending now is making me really think about even the essential spends and to try to get the best possible price I can.
Loving the picnic idea, thinking about it Mum and Dad rarely took us out for dinner, it was mainly picnics which is why I love them so much!:)

evening!
my only spend is for dog food - we buy a sack every couple of months and it does 2 dogs. We found a good complete one they both love and its so much cheaper than tinned and better for their tummies.
No food spends:T
I loved the description of the children lining up for some Twinks:D:T
I want to share a recipe with you which is delicious and I got it off here.
Jam Crumblie
6oz butter/marg
6oz dark soft brown sugar
6oz porridge oats
7oz plain flour
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon aking powder
4oz jam
lightly grease an 8" square baking dish(I use my ceramic lasagne dish as its microwave safe)
Cream fat and sugar together
stir in the dry ingredients and mix thoroughly
Press half the mixture into the dish
melt the jam in the microwave and then spread over the base
crumble on the remaining oat mixture pressing it down lightly
bake in the microwave for 7 minutes on full power
cut into squares and cool in the dish.
It is delicious and any jam can be used also a Christmas version uses mincemeat and has icing sugar dusted on top. A warning - its very more-ish!
I havent made it myself for a while but I might give it a go as soon as I've got some spare time.Do what you love :happyhear0 -
