Edited my sig at the £50 I've been able to pay this month has bought me under the £9000 figure which has made me happy. Hopefully I'll be able to pay a bit more off soon too.

I need to get a laptop to be able to study for my degree but i can't afford it. I'm struggling to see the point of it all and am really tempted to juat run away and hide

I start my new job on weds. I'll be gettin about 200 pound extra a month :-)

I have started my new job. I've even managed to book in some overtime. I've worked out that if I can earn £1188 a month after tax (which in this job seems quite easy to do with overtime) I can pay £687 a month off on my debt and be debt free at the beginning of 2014. My car payments finish in Feb 2014 so I'm hoping by March/April 2014 all my money (other than bills) will be my own.

I'd like it to be before then but April 2014 is the date that I aim to be debt free

My debt has gone up this month. My previous employer badly messed up my wages so I need to borrow some money to see me through the month.
I plan on getting back on track in january. I hope to pay at least £80 off on my debt but in feb should hopefully be able to pay about £500 off which will reduce my total greatly and be amazing :-)

That's a good idea. Have you read the frugal in Cornwall blog? She is hardcore but her blog is quite inspirational and full of good ideas.

I haven't - I shall try and find it
