  • I've reworked my budget. I can have just over £1000 cleared off my debt by Xmas if I stick to it. I'm currently researching car insurance quotes. Although mine isn't due for renewal until December I want to start searching now so I can estimate and start my budget for next year so I have something to look forward too - watching those debts go down :). I have another £80 to pay off on my debt this month and then it's preparation for next month. I didn't stick to my budget very well so far and miscalculated quite a bit so I'm going to stick to it big time from next pay day to make sure that doesn't happen again.

Its my birthday next week and if I get any money it will be going into an account to save for a new laptop. I have also found where I live that buys your old clothes so I'll be having a sort out on Monday to see what I can put together. Every penny helps!!

On a different note I've applied to do my business studies degree through open university :)

  • So I need to change my signature but I can't remember what the final total is. I've paid more off on my debts this month. I still had money left in my purse last month and some left in the bank!

I do know that the figure when I update it should start with an 8 and not a 9!!!!

My degree stuff has arrived and is waiting for me to start but I need to wait for the course to start lol.

  • I've applied for a new job. If I get it I will have a massive increase in my wages which will see my debts being paid off quicker. I figured on the wage I'm on at the moment I can have just over £1000 paid off with my December payday included. With this pay increase if I get the job it will be much more.

I have the interview on Friday :)

  • Well I'm annoyed with myself. I had some money in my pocket to pay into my account to pay my phone bill and I've lost it. I'm now cut off until Friday when I get paid.

The temptation to go onto a payday loan and get some money to be able to pay the bill and put petrol in my car is there and I'm trying so hard not to but without my phone if I get stuck anywhere tomorrow walking to work I'm stuffed. I am beyond annoyed at myself right now.

This month I had several low days so ended up blowing my budget out of the water so losing this money on top of that has just ruined my mood completely. I felt like I was doing so well.

I've managed to pay just under £600 off of my debt in 3 pay days and then something else happens to knock me back.

    Rant over :)

I need to edit my signature with my new debt total. I can't remember exactly how much I paid off on my debt. I think it was only £70. I've also managed to get Xmas to under £100 :)

  • I did a debt remedy with CCCS (although their name has now changed) and they've recommended a DMP. So I've requested the application pack to get everything sorted.

Its time I got serious about it. Well more serious than before. I've managed to pay a fair chunk off so far but I'm getting depressed and to the point where I'm realising that I actually need some help with everything

  • Hey Squidge,

Sorry to read that you've been having a rough time of it at the moment.

Well done on what you have paid off your debt so far, you are doing brilliantly.

I think contacting CCCS is a good thing and you'll probably feel a lot easier once things are moving :)

    Keep going hun x
  • I'm hoping that something will click now that I've managed to get some advice

please don't get a payday loan. I know that you have had some rubbishy days but you have come on soooo much from when you started your diary.
    Don't give in to temptation.
