Yeah it's just a case of trying to get everything back on track. My hours are the bare minimum at work because there is barely any overtime going at the moment so I might need to find another job to fit around the hours I'm doing otherwise I'm never going to get out of this mess!DEBT TOTAL: £7609.440

I don't really have much to update on. Today is going to be a day where I sort out paperwork and final debt totals. I need to go and see an advisor in Natwest on Wednesday about my overdraft with them etc and just try to get everything sorted I think!DEBT TOTAL: £7609.440

Just been to Natwest. The advisor was lovely. She's closed my accounts with my ex that were untouched for nearly a year so hopefully they won't linger on my credit report for too much longer! She's also asking an account advisor to ring me once they've looked into my account. It's £511 overdrawn from charges due to financial issues my ex caused so she's asked for them to hold any charges from July which is when I can start paying back and to see if as a goodwill gesture they can refund any of the charges I was given so that I have less to pay back to them. It all started when I was only £56 overdrawn. If only I had control of my finances and not him.
Oh well suppose I can't dwell on the past - only the future now. I have on a good note worked out that if I work hard I can have £900 of my debt wiped off in 3 pay days!DEBT TOTAL: £7609.440 -
Ok so I've had a check and my final debt amount was over £10000! In fact in full it was £10,056!!!!!!!!
However I managed to knock some money off this month and get that figure under £10000 which I am very happy about!.

I checked my Noddle the other day and it doesn't seem to have everything on there which means it has less debt registered on there than I actually have?DEBT TOTAL: £7609.440

So I'm going to be getting paid again a week on Friday. Hopefully will be able to clear more money off of my debt. I have to add £100 to it because my dad lent me some money for food - had a very bad month with circumstances beyond my control.
I have signed up to do lots and lots of overtime between now and my August pay day which is good because my car tax is due! Should get enough money to clear off lots of debt and have a better month!DEBT TOTAL: £7609.440 -
One thing I was wondering is if I phone all the companies I owe money to and explain my situation with my ex controlling the finances and getting me into trouble - would they be kind enough to help me out a bit or would they still be well you owe us the money and we're coming for it kind of thing?
I'm going to get the £1 a day book reserved at the library and see if I can get any hints and tips from itDEBT TOTAL: £7609.440 -
Morning all
Popped into the library before work to do a quick post on here and have a catch up. Have a few questions of things I need to check:- Cutting mobile phone bill in half. If I'm halfway through my contract will o2 pricematch? Do they even pricematch to begin with?
- Is it best to concentrate on one debt and then move onto the next while sending token payments to the others to keep things flowing?
I've also reserved the book by Kath Kelly about living on £1 a day. I find myself borrowing from the library a lot more and am currently working through a book like that my friend gave me so I'm saving a lot of money there!
I should be housesitting for someone for 2 weeks in August and they live right round the corner from where I work so will be walking and saving some petrol there if they still need me

I've been itching to read that book for ages. I hope that it is as good as the hype.0
