I am rehoming two cats tomorrow. Now I am starting to worry about the cost:eek:

Luck of the draw, four cats, ten years - one damaged tail (Matthewcat, nine years ago), one abcess (Oz, five years ago). Fingers crossed you are lucky, but please I want pictures :)

My mother brought some expensive medicated cat fud that hers hate, Matthewcat loved it, stole the packet from the bin to lick but George (Don't Do That) thought the meat was something dirty and kept trying to cover it up :rotfl:

I've had 10 cats over 20 years (same as the children I just noticed lol).. 1 kidney failure (£170), 3 hit 'n' runs... b"*^"^ds.. 1 infected shoulder (cost around £500) 1 abcess (£36) then Hazel.. eye removed (£360), flea allergy, eosophilic granuloma complex (£166).. and the rabbits and their fleas and jabs .. (£36 every 6 months) and one poorly one .. We've not done too bad really I guess.

I will really miss having bunnies when Bug goes to the great warren in the sky :(

Well.... took the dog to the vets. He walked in without limping! Typical! Vet checked him over, after running him up & down the car park. Got to his knees, and said she knew exactly what the problem was - dislocated knee!! keeps popping in & out (hence the intermittant limping), due to a torn ligament. Then she went on to say that he will need surgery, and it will cost about £1200-1500!!! Thank god he is insured :o I was pleased with myself when I changed the insurance in January, as I got better cover, less excess & cashback. Now I am really glad I chose the platinum option aswell! I think it will even cover the hydrotheary he will need after :)

I haven't done much else except do my treasurer's duties at the art club, and a big food shop. DH has cleaned some more of the patio (takes a while as the drainage isn't good) and painted some of the inside of the summerhouse.

I don't suppose I will get much else done this weekend, as I have an assignment due tomorrow, another next Sunday and another the following Friday  I had best crack on with it.

Been to Mr T's - DD says they've kitchen stuff on offer. She has bought my mother's day gift - I need a new can opener;)
(well I won't after next week;))
She has a practcal bent has DD which I don't mind.

Kept an eye on the running total as I had a £7 off a £50 spend...thought it was going to hit £46...ran back for :coffee: (I bought Tesco gold for the fitters and ran back for on offer Douwe Egberts for me) came back - teller totalled it - bogof's etc fetched it back down to £46 - ran back - was like Supermarket sweep :rotfl: got sack of dried catfood...hit the magic £50 - handed over £7 voucher and £2.50 points voucher (I don't go to there a lot)...and breathe

also picked up two 1kg sides of salmon for £4 each instead of £10 each by dint of standing next to the yellow sticker lady and asking politely if they were going to be reduced. One *might* be for my mum but couldn't get her on the blower. So, for now, they are both in my freezer. I will serve 1 at Easter.

I've had more cats than kids - 3 cats 2 Vallikids! There are times I think I need more cats and fewer kids.

I think so. Like I say I hot smoke them now and use them to put flavour in fish pie/fish cakes

I think one will be the centrepice of my Easter buffet; the other's been claimed by mum.

Note to self - Next time you remove football boot laces to wash (Makes them easier to fasten if they aren't mud-coated) take a picture of how they are laced then you find the little loop in place of the hole without having to spend half-an-hour surfing the net because one side has 6 holes and one has 7 and then you (or DS;)) can re-lace the boots!

Busy day in the garden... Garden furniture out of shed and brushed down, shed swept and spider nests removed. Sacks of chopped floorboards, kindling and logs stacked in shed. More chopped floorboards in log store (still lots to be done). Grass mown. Four flowerbeds tidied, pruned, weeded, chicken manured and bark mulched. My dad's car filled with junk and taken to the tip.

Kitchen table cleared (minor miracle) and slow cooked lamb, gratin dauphinoise, carrots, spinach and peas followed by frozen strawberry pudding produced effortlessly for supper (gratin and pudding had been in the freezer for months and needed eating, lamb ditto so took it and gratin out last night). Contents of veg drawer binned, as it was all bought three weeks ago before I was ill and although I salvaged some of it a week ago and made soup, the rest died.

Tomorrow we will be pruning at the back of the garden and front of the house until lunchtime (cold lamb and salad if my parents buy some on the way over), then off to see my DB, SIL and kids for the afternoon and back for veg soup which is a by-product of cooking the lamb!

Need to meal plan for next week at some point to avoid throwing out anymore food.

Hooefully the garden will now be manageable and I can focus on sorting out the back right corner where I took the shed out two years ago.
