Hi everyone
Sorry I've not been on at all yet this week. Life is like a rollercoaster for me at the moment. My OH has been signed off work sick, I'm worried about money, having a hard time at work etc - I'm honestly struggling to cope at the moment.
I haven't forgotten about my mse stuff but I really do struggle more when life is giving me too many lemons. I bought a bag of chips and 2 bottles of cider last night, taking me to £4.78 so far for the week. I did have a spendy day on Tuesday as well, but everything else has come out of other budgets. Had to buy new work shoes as I'd actually worn a hole through the sole of my other ones.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

Hi guys
WelshDreamer this isn't a monkey it's a blinking great ape!!! Hehe, no it's fine, I'm feeling a lot better now I've had two afternoons back and can see what I'm dealing with. It's a lot, but I'll get there! EverTheOptimist that's one of my top errors - leaving the house on an empty stomach! That sounds like a great deal for Clinique mascara Barbeduk - it's all about which way you look at it!!! Oh...that's what Baileys Babe said...! I'm sorry to hear you're having such a hard time wannabee_in_credit, my thoughts are with you, and I'm sure things will start to get better soon. Just try and keep your chin up and I hope your hubby gets better soon xxx Well done on your NSDs again freebyfifty, you're really stacking them up! pp what was the offer in Yo! Sushi? I've never eaten there as I've looked at the menus and it seems very expensive, was it nice?
I bought ice cream last night on offer for £3 - Ben and Jerry's Core - Dough-Ble Whammy. It was ok...won't get it again I don't think! The core bit was quite solid and sickly, not like the sauce you get at the cinema...
Today I am going to get a Starbucks on the way into work, so I've already counted that in my sig and on my update below. The only other spend today might be if some of us go to the pub after work. Again, I'll only be having D/Coke so it won't be a lot of money. Also will get petrol today, but of course that comes from petrol budget!
Hope everyone has a lovely Friday!

Not really sure what to declare this week...
After work last Friday (so technically in the FREE zone that goes from Friday pm to Saturday) I blew my grocery budget big time for the month spending £132 in one shop!!! To set the record straight - and so I don't feel I am cheating I am going to:
Allow £80.00 as my planned monthly grocery allowance. The excess £52.00 is being deducted from April's budget. I do have LOADS of food in now... so will have to manage on much less - or use my spending/going out money from my budget on food. There - clear conscience!!!
Which means... I pledged £10.00 for this week.
Spent £41.45 (£11.63 food + £20.00 National Lottery + £6.00 Beer (friend visiting!) + £1.32 Mother's Day Card + £2.50 sponsor money)... Won £12.50 (!) Received from Amazon Sale £24.91... So through a stroke of luck - I managed:
This week = £4.04/£10.00 - so a GREEN week.
In future - although I will still run the spend challenges from Sunday to Friday after work finishes, If I spend over my allotted monthly budget (i.e. more than I have allowed in each of my envelopes to cover food, spends, clothes etc) then that will be deducted from my weekly spend. That should stop me!!!
For the w/c 11th March: I am pledging £10.00 again.
Good luck everyone!!!

I have my list all written ready for my usual spendy Saturday and I'm hoping I've got myself all organised for the coming week. It's not payday until Thursday so there isn't a lot to spend this week anyway
so I shall be declaring my usual fiver.

LC the Yo sushi offer was 4 plates (not yellow or grey - the really expensive ones) and a glass or wine or bottle of beer for £10 which I think it really good. If you go for the upper plates in the offer that is a saving of about 50%. You need a leaflet to get the offer and one per person I just saw it the other day and grabbed one so worth checking out if you are near one, they were just on the counter. I really like Yo sushi as they do a variety of food not just sushi, you can have noodles, tempura and things like chicken katsu curry.
So spends for Friday were:- £2.50 on breakfast roll and coffee at work
- £5 on lunch
LC I am getting broadband on monday (finger crossed) so could you do one more week this week then I can pick up next week?
Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone I am off to the hairdressers later to be very bored for 3 hours but with my greys it is a necessity:mad:Weekly Spend Challenge: £0/£30

Morning all.
Am declaring at £4.03 / £10 Yay me. :j:j
I am setting £30 this week, i have a meal out on Monday night and Lunch out on Weds. so i think this should cover it, i won't be too concerned if i go over that as i am not really sure what they will both cost, just dont want to spend on top of that, maybe £1.20 for car parking if i need to pop into town.
Well done on the purple week freebyfifty.
And LC hope you got to the end of the week in one piece. Hope you are feeling ok with being back at work.
Have a good weekend all.

Hi everyone
I did go to the pub after work yesterday and spent a total of £2.50. Did also go for dinner with some friends, but I took that from my savings so not counting it here, rightly or wrongly!
abundant1972, it sounds like you're making things as complicated as I do! It's my little dance...the budget shuffle!!! Hehe. Well done on another purple week freebyfifty, yet again putting me to shame! pp that offer does sound good, not sure I'll be in the vicinity of one any time soon - slight chance today, but the people I'll be with aren't massively into foods like that! No worries re the thread, fingers crossed for your broadband Monday!!! Nice result ETO, and sounds like a fun week ahead! I am ok with being back at work thanks, it's busy and I'm trying not to be stressed, but I'm very glad I've started on afternoons only! I think it's made the difference!
