    Good morning everyone!

Thanks for this week's thread LC! :T

I can happily report that I was green last week with a spend of £90.57 out of my pledged £95! :j

This week I have to pop to the shops mid-week for a few bits-n-bobs, so I'll pledge £50 please - thank you LC! :T

Hello and welcome to the thread Ihatethemoneypit welcome3smiley.gif I'm sure LC will be along shortly to welcome you officially!

Have a good week everyone and good luck staying within budget! sunshine-012.gif

    Hello LC and all,

Sorry I missed last week's challenge. I would have blown it anyway because there was a book sale at school which resulted in a spend of £10 for one book and a plastic hand pointer . Apparently the school gets a free book for each one we bought but tbh it'd have been cheaper to have got them one from Ama£on!!

I have £4.63 in my purse and I am hoping to spend no more than that this week. I need to pop into work later but will park for free and walk the rest of the way. Then hopefully my next non budgeted spend will be meeting a friend for "coffee" on Fri morning. Think I'll be having a herbal tea instead as it's much cheaper! No magazines anymore, I do all my reading on here!:D

    Hello everyone, Happy Monday!

Firstly welcome to the new people this week, pixnmix and Ihatethemoneypit! Good luck to you both, please feel free to update as much as you like through the week! Ihatethemoneypit could you please let me know how much you are pledging for the week so I can update the first page? :money:

wannabee_in_credit I can't believe you had snow! It was fairly windy and showery yesterday (looks the same today) but overall it's been really springlike here recently! I'm glad to hear the challenge is working for you WelshDreamer, and of course echo your sentiments for scotmumofthree who is in our thoughts at this difficult time. Well done on your purple week Bailey's Babe, hope the bb is better now! freebyfifty and EverTheOptimist well done on your NSDs so far...:D chris81418 well done on another green week and thank you for your lovely posts - I always enjoy seeing all the different smilies you use! :A What is a plastic hand pointer Barbeduk, am I missing something obvious? Next time maybe use Amazing, however at least you know you've done some good for the school!:T

I have spends to report yesterday of £3.95 on another of those very expensive (but sooooooooo delicious) smoothies at the mall. It was my breakfast and lunch though...umm I know, not really justifiable. So yummy though :p I did buy some more beads etc in H0bbycr4ft but managed to squeeze them from a different budget. I also got 4 more lovely rolls of Christmas wrap (3m) for 49p each from there, part of the same spend. I reckon I now have enough wrap for 2-3 Christmases! I must resist buying more, no matter how nice it is!!! :rotfl:

I may pop out today, but only for groceries if anything. However I may leave it till tomorrow as I'm not desperate! Mum is going to Mr T later and will get milk for me which is the only thing I'm running out of (and need my COFFEE!).

    Sun 4 Mar: £3.95
    Total so far: £3.95/£25

    Thanks for the thread LC:beer:
I forgot I was supposed to do film reviews after my epic marathon last Wednesday so here goes:

The Artist - I really liked it, when I was hlaf way through I had forgotten it was a silent film so I would recommend it.

Man on a ledge - really good action film, kept you interested all the way to the end and not too predictable

Chronicle - I didn't realise this was all shot on handheld camera like Blair Witch. The story really didn't go anywhere and had no pace so would not recommend this one.

I also went to see This Means War on Sunday which was really good. Good action/chick flick mix and there are some really funny bits.

Anyway enough of my adventures in cinema. Spends for me today were £2 on coffee at work.

Enjoy the rest of your week everyone.

    Good Morning :)

PP - I really want to go and see This Means War but was worried it would be a predictable chick flick kinda thing but you have made up my mind for me. I might go this weekend. I also really want to see The Woman in Black but I'm scared I'll be frightened half to death :o

I had a NSD yesterday which is good as with over a week until payday my bank account is struggling a bit. :(

    Sunday - NSD :)
    Monday - NSD :)

    Hi all

Well, I'm back to work tomorrow on 1pm-5pm for a week... having very mixed feelings about it! On the one hand I can't wait to get back to some kind of routine and normality, and actually see people day to day again! On the other hand, I'm already dreading it as I know everything has built up while I've been gone. My mgr has said don't get stressed and they know the state of things and that it will take time to sort...but I can't help it... there's nothing worse than a permanent backlog. That said, on the whole I am still looking forward to going back!

LC I hope going back to work is ok for you, I am sure the thought of it is worse than actually going back. At least it seems your manager is being supportive. I hope it goes well.

freebyfifty I really enjoyed This Mean War so I will be interested to see what you think. I am too scared to see Woman in Black but it does look like it might be good.

Spends for me today were £3 on my card at work this covered breakfast, coffee and chocolate this afternoon. So £5 / £40 so far.

I am helping at a Grad event at Stirling Uni tomorrow so no work for me:j:j I was joking with a colleague that is like being on day release from prison:p. I need to pay for the train though which is about £12 and also I have bookgroup tomorrow night which means buying a bottle but think I am going to sneak this out of the grocery budget.

Happy hump day for tomorrow everyone.

PP - thanks for the film reviews. i am still hoping to see The Artist, but think i'll wait until its on DVD now.

Woman in Black was good, i'd seen the play already but it is quite different, just with the effects and everything. It is jumpy rather than scary. And i watched it and came back to an empty house. i was really brave :D

LC - hope your first day back is ok, like pp said i bet the thought ends up being worse than the actual event. Try not to stress too much over it, easier said than done i am sure. I'm sure you'll be fine once you get back into it.

Anyway another NSD for me today. :j:j:j That's 3 now.
