Getting professional help to beat debt. Diary

Your diary will be over as far as debt is concerned but it can continue as you will have tales to tell of the lovely things you are doing, saving or spending and the time you are using better through not worrying about the debt etc.
Plans, dreams or just everyday life in the black will be fab xxxLiving the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

So close now Gmood. There's no reason to stop your diary though - you can have a 'maintenance' diary. I'm so impressed by how much you've paid off now. Just think - if you can pay that amount off debts, you can save that amount too! What would you do with all that money?

It will be a wonderful feeling to be debt free, I'm sure you won't miss the pressure and worry that comes with owing a lot of money. It's just a case of changing your goals and still making sure that you get the most out of your money.
It may even give you the freedom to make changes in different areas, like your job, or your house. So many possibilities. Xx0 -
I am sat here with butterflies in my stomach and tears in my eyes due to hubby surprising me with some money he has saved up and out of the blue paying my last bit of debt off!! I am so happy I can't stop crying!! I just came home and he asked "How much do you owe now?" and I told him £696 and he transferred £700 into my bank and told me to pay off my Barclaycard! I pressed the button to pay it and burst into floods of tears which he found hysterically funny! Typical bloke! So that is it!!!! End Of!! Finito!!! Done and dusted!!I AM FINALLY DEBT FREE!!!!!!!
Thank you to everyone on here who has followed my progress and supported me. You have all been a huge help and an inspiration and I really appreciate all your hints, tips and kind words!! I will keep popping on to check up on those who I am following! Good luck in your own journeys and thanks for being a friend during mine.GMOODxxxx

Thanks to you all for your lovely comments and wishes. I really appreciate it. I have not opened the champagne yet as it doesn't feel real yet and even though I have made the payment, it is not showing on my card yet as being paid.
Hubby asked me tonight what it felt like to be debt free but apart from the initial tears last night I feel a bit numb and emotionless...... It is very hard to explain as I thought I would be high with excitement but it is like I just can't bring myself to believe it. I have never been debt free since I was 18 and I'm almost 40! It is a little bit hard to get my head around. I guess it will sink in more on payday when I have nothing to pay! I will keep in touch and update you on my goals once I have figured out what they are! Ha ha! I just can't get my head round it at the minute!
