    And your point?

Leaving derogatory feedback for a buyer and identifying the stars they leave contravenes two policies, do it at your peril.
    Didnt leave any feedback yet.

And how can it contravene any policies if thats what ebay told me to do?

Hm, I think I probably would ammend it if I thought I was being stalked over supposedly anonymous star ratings. You'd like it a lot less though.

I pointed out I hadnt had a neg in 9 years, nor any 1 or 2 star DSR rating, and yet I was now just one low rating away from my account being suspended.

It may be anonymous, but its not difficult to work out who it is when the DSR suddenly changes.

eBay tell all sorts of lies just to get people off the phone.

........or off the chat!!! It doesnt really matter whether its lies or not......theyve given me explicit permission to question the buyer on the low ratings.

So do so and find yourself on the end of a suspension, as soolin says, they tell you anything to get rid of you. But written policy is clear. If you contravene it, what proof do you have?

So, you're chasing a buyer to ammend the feedback, you've asked them to ammend your supposedly anonymous star rating, and you're holding your feedback off just in case you have to leave them a false positive.
Well, it doesn't bode well from here.

Yet another ebay CS rep who doesn't know ebay rules.
I know that this is in other places but have just found it on the bottom of the DSR reports,
"It is against eBay policy to question buyers about the detailed seller ratings they left."

It won't count for anything. Chat can be misinterpreted (by you) but policy is policy.
