Low stars for postage - can I do anything?

Sorry yes I mean 1st and 2nd class parcels.
I made a few claims last month which were just 1st class parcels - they wouldn't do anything because they were not sent via recorded delivery.
I presumed that parcels that were posted over the counter as well as through business accounts would suffer the same consequences?0 -

Unfortunately most of the post is LL (around 70% under 100g, 30% 100-250) and just 20-30 parcels a week mostly coming it at just under 750 average.
The lowest quote on the website is £3 and I know you can maybe get that lower but I can't see them going down to 60-75pence based on just 25,000ish parcels a year.In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

There is an online calculator somewhere on their website, may be worth trying it, although to be honest it was miles out for me. Give them a ring.0 -

Parcels are still covered, if you've had claims refused maybe the contents were not covered for that service.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Grrrrrr - all my delivery costs are outlined before people bid. Included recorded, combined discounts etc. I would rather people went to a different seller than marked me down on something they already knew.
And now to top it all, ebay warns me that I cant put "Do not bid if you think the postage is high" or similar into my listing.....contravening their rules apparently. I dont want buyers who think my postage is high. Go to another seller with cheaper carriage by all means. Maybe I could even post item numbers of similar items with lower postage and sellers making a loss on it.
So whats to stop me marking every purchase I make down as 1 star for postage? If everyone did this, they would do away with this ridiculous system.
Ha ha - I tried putting "do not bid if you don't like the postage price" and it would not let me submit. Ebay have thought of everything. I'm same as you - i don't want these bitter nasty people bidding - i would pefer less money for the item. Today i removed a bid from such a buyer - my price as dropped by £7.
Also, i often think why don't i play the ebay game. Mark everyone down on stars, leave vicious feedback for no real reason - and have the odd SNAD or INR freebie. But i just can't do it. Maybe i should though.
OP i'm afraid buyers no longer care if you had to buy the packing specially - they expect all ebayers to have cheap stationary now - and they reflect that in their feedback.
The best option these days is to charge what is on the Royal Mail label OR LESS - or use stamps that hide the postage paid. I have never looked at the postage cost of parcels i have received - but some people are just sad like that.0 -

You cannot identify a buyer or approach them about their stars.
Well. I just spoke with ebay by chat, and they said that I could approach the buyer to have the feedback and stars removed.
Emailed him a nice email. Lets see what happens.illegitimi non carborundum0 -

And your point?
Leaving derogatory feedback for a buyer and identifying the stars they leave contravenes two policies, do it at your peril.0 -

Hm, I think I probably would ammend it if I thought I was being stalked over supposedly anonymous star ratings. You'd like it a lot less though.
I hope you have left glowing feedback for them as well now, otherwise I really would be upset.0
