I have made the plants mistake too, although I have already planted mine out. Ooops! Would they be ok if I tucked them up in a blanket if it snows? Might look a bit odd though as they are in my front 'garden', which is basically a patch of soil next to the pavement!

Did another 60 mins of sorting my budget today, so hopefully I am back on track. Good job too as my rent bounced due to no money in my bank account. Luckily I had saved some money in another account so have spent some time moving money about.

Just got to last on fresh air now for the rest of the month. Yuck!

I also did 2 hours overtime at work today, so maybe I could bank that for when I have a lazy day and don't manage my 60 minutes? Or is this the sort of thinking that gets me in a mess?! It may not be quite in the spirit of this thread, so I should probably just say I did extra minutes today :)

I wonder how much productive time we have clocked up between us so far?
  • Im bagging 8 hours overtime tomorrow as my productive time. Means the housework will take a backburner but its pennies for the emergency fund.....read that as car fund cos mot is looming!

For the first time ever I appear to be a plant expert!!!:D I'm not really, just made all the same costly mistakes in the past.

If you don't still have some suitable pots to move them back to a windowsill, I would find some empty plastic bottles/milk cartons. Cut them in half and use the top half as is to put over the indiv plant as a sort of mini greenhouse. You can use the bottom half of the bottle too as long as you punch some air holes in the top.

Keep an eye on the weather and put them on every time there is a chance of frost, in the evening. Take off again in the morning or they will cook in the sunshine!! They should hopefully be ok then. X

GRRRRRR. It makes me really mad that they are knowingly sold too early, just so that the growers can get a double sale when the first lot dies:mad:

Productivity over the last couple of days has been pretty good. Car washed in advance of hosepipe ban and a session at the gym yesterday:j

Need to do some baking today which will take about 30 mins plus I want to work on a 'To Do list' for all those longer term things. Been reading a book about one man's struggle to get through his list (all 1277 items:eek:) Very funny and strangely motivating

60 mins yesterday was clearing more of the weekend prunings, made another major error and pruned old overgrown grape vine, totally wrong time as sap is flowing! Hoping I have not killed it. Cooked again last night! Mexican chicken. Managed to slice my finger on lovely new knives, boy they're sharp just shows how blunt the old set were.

Before I get chided for not being money-saving and sharpening old ones, they are really really old and we've been saving tokens from Mr Ts for new ones and Hubby bought them all. So didn't cost me a thing :rotfl:Except a hole in hand :rotfl:

Happy 60 mins today people

Too late regarding the plants :(

Was going to use my 60 minutes today making little greenhouses for them but instead woke up to a foot or so of snow!

Currently tucked up in a duvet as I am too skint to put the heating on, listening to tonnes of snow crashing off the roof. I'm sure its dragging tiles off too :(

I have done quite a bit of work due to working from home today, but can't really can't count that as my 60 mins.

Will have to have a think of what to do with it :)
  • I did the Shred again, went to the gym and did 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer, and then went and got a blood test. More than 60 minutes, but I think that's a good thing.

FYI, a blood test after exercise is a bad idea - I normally don't bleed much after, but this time the cotton ball was nearly saturated.

Oh no poor plants, and finger, and blood spurt from test!!:(

Speaking of mum and dad, they picked me up and gave me a lift to swimming now I'm starting on my kitchen draws for an hour,
I don't want to sound morbid cause that's not how I am but I keep thinking 'if I die and someone.. prob mother.. has to go thru them draws I'd be ashamed!!' !!!!!!??

anyway its probably from watching to many murder mystery's whilst of uni, but if it means I have nice organised draws I'm happy :T

Hello, hope you don't mind me joining this thread. I'm an habitual procrastinator. I try to get organised and write endless lists but rarely tick more than half the things off. It's really something I need to get sorted as the place is a mess which in turn makes my head a mess!

I had cognitive behaviour therapy a month or so ago and it was one of the things I discussed with my counsellor. She gave me a really good book about procrastination though typically I've only read about half! It was good though and really made me think about my habits.

I need to stop looking up to the top of the mountain and thinking that it's too high to climb and start looking for smaller hills that will eventually take me to the top (sorry, that was rather too deep for a mid week afternoon!).

    Welcome along Alleycat!!!
love the bit about CBT!! just done a module on it at uni and the module leader has asked if i would be interested in specialising in it.. told her I'd get back to her which I've failed to do, think that says I'm prob wrong for the course :rotfl:

I think thats how we feel here about just changing one little part of our day rather than go gun ho then give up, it doesn't matter if you miss a day a week or pop in everyday, we're happy to see you whenever you want :T

still on with the kitchen, it's turned into a big job but is looking rather splendid !!!
