Just back from my quick shop
1 each of the Goodfellas pizzas, Cadburys Bubbly and an Oral B toothpaste, total to pay £8.07. Used the price flop £1 off, £1 off Oral B, £1.42 off the Bubbly and £2.01 womble, so total to pay £2.64Which should result in a £4.07 JTD
Not the biggest on here by any strecth of the imagination, but I'm happy
Got a bit of a trout on the SS tills. She had to authorise 2 of the coupons, and asked for the receipt for the JTD which I've never had before, and she just about wrote her life story on it! Then as she was walking away I hit 2 for the green CC points and omg she was back like a shot! 'you can only have 1 per bag doesn't matter what size it is' so I was very apologetic but as she tried to cancel 1 CC point she voided one of my coupons so then had to go away to get the keys to open the drawer to get it back out so she could scan it again and then she forgot to take the CC point of! SOI got to keep it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

morning everyone! Cold and wet today....and my tyre blew on my little pap-pap yesterday which cant be replaced as the wheel spring has snapped (which is what speared and slashed the tyre)..so cant get it fixed until Monday...so doubt they'll be any Ts for me today
It took RAC 3 hours to come out to me to tow me home - was shocked at the service...me thinking of changing to AA instead!!!
Was on my way to 2nd Ts when it happened, so no £1 clothing bargains for me (was nothing but carp in the 1st store) ....but I'm thinking positive....why pay £1, when hopefully in a few weeks they'll all be 4p
Redfox...sorry to hear about your OH, but glad you made the decision to come back - I agree that you do a fab job and keep us all in check!!! Keep up the good work!!! And my vote goes for male...not sure why, just a feeling
3dogs - loving the cheer-me-up drawings for Mr 3dogs..hope it helped a little! Sorry to hear about you possibly rehoming Bessie as well...I agree with the other poster who said Mr 3dogs might feel different once he's back in his own surroundings, but whatever you decide, it will be for the best, and you need to make sure you and Mr 3dogs are as well as can be, without any extra pressures
Magicowen - the poem you had for your grandads funeral was very sweet, had me in tears...i hope you can focus on the future and keep yourself busy
To everyone else needing hugs and best wishes.....have lots and lots from me
And to those wanting a way to bump up a spend to use the £5 off coupon, why not try the duracell batteries? All the ones I've seen are in the duracell promotion boxes, which have a huge 'BOGOF' sign on the box pre-printed by Duracell, so it doesnt matter if Ts remove the SEL, if they're still in the box, the BOGOF sign is still there!!!
Oh, I found some of the BBQ lamb burger thingies in Ts yesterday....thinking they would scan at 1p and didnt have time to price check...they went through as per the SEL at £1.50...so took them back for a swift refund!!! Not sure if all the BBQ stuff is scanning correctly now, but just beware!!!!
Right then...off to have a nosey on the main grabbit board and see if Boots website is back up and running....then off to do some Megablocks building!!
They aren't much better! I bought an AA policy when I bought my Discovery and I bought the thing where you pay X amount per year and if something goes wrong with your car they will fix it up to X amount cost.
Sis and I were returning from somewhere and when we went around roundabouts there was a noise coming from the back wheel. I thought that's a wheel bearing and they are cheap. We pulled over and called the AA to do everything right so I could get the repair out of them. Eventually the AA man came, took it for a spin and come back and accused me of wasting his time and said there was nothing wrong with it. So we carried on and it got worse the closer to home we got. I phoned the AA and told them what had happened and they said they would look in to it. Weeks went past before I heard anything. They informed me to take it in to their Nationwide Autocentres to have it fixed. Took it in at the requested time and was told I'd have to wait 3 days until they got the part. I was jumping up and down by this time and the Land Rover Centre was only a 5 minute walk away. Apparently they couldn't deliver it for a couple of days. So I asked them what would stop someone walking to LR and picking it up? "haven't got time, we're busy" Me: "Certainly looks likes like it *glances in to workshop at men twiddling their thumbs* What about if I went and collected the part?" Him: "that would work I suppose." So I went and collected the part and went across the road to T's, came back, picked up the car, parked outside my flat for a hours. At 8pm I decided to go to mums and I got two miles before the new hub/bearing started making an awful noise. Pulled over, got out, had a look, oil peeing everywhere. I sat 4 hours waiting for the AA to arrive before they called me to say they didn't have a tow truck big enough and that they would have to get a 3rd party out to me. Half an hour later he arrived and asked whether I wanted the car at mine or somewhere else? I told it would have to go to Nationwide Autocentre but I didn't want it left there overnight as it's in a slightly bad area. He said they would store it in their yard and bill the AA for storage. I went down to Nationwide as they opened and my car was there, it had been there all night as the AA refused to pay storage at the recoverers yard. I was livid. Yet again, I had to go and pick up another hub from LR and the guy fitted it. I sat in the waiting room this time and I got a call from the guy at the AA asking if I was satisfied with the repair. I flew off the handle at this point and explained what had happened and that a second hub was in the process of being fitted. "We're not paying for it" he said. I then pointed out that the first hub was faulty and that LR are liable for it and that the AA wouldn't need to pay for two hubs. It took him a minute or two of thinking about it before he realised I was correct.
He then proceeded to have a go at me at the amount of mileage I'd done between reporting it and the vehicle being fixed. I asked him to check his notes and pointed out that I had called the AA out just south of Durham and that I drove home after being advised there was nothing wrong with it and Durham to Aberdeen was at least 400 miles. I also told him that when I got home and reported it I was left hanging on for 5 weeks before you got back to me. I said in those 5 weeks I've had to do two 60 mile round trips a week to take my sister to the hospital.
I got an apology but I had to fight for it. Waste of space the AA if you ask me.0 -
Morning (or afternoon everyone)
got the hangover from hell this morning, after going out for drinks for my bday... promised myself I wouldnt drink that much and literally took a tenner which was enough for two drinks, but ended up having about 6 glasses of wine and a glass of champers lol and boy am i paying for it this morning. Went to a club after a few drinks at the pub which wasnt really part of the plan, and then OH just dissapeared and text me to say he was at home after getting a taxi home..nice of him to tell me! Ended up kissing some other guy (bad I know) and eventually my friend took me home at about 2am (I honestley don't know how people my age do this every weekend, I was sooo tired and my feet were killing!!) anyway couldnt get in as didnt have any keys on me as OH had them, and he wouldnt wake up to let me in.... so ended up staying at his... so horrible feeling like carp in someone elses home when all you want is your own bedanyway back home now and slept/eaten some of the hangover off, but not drinking for a while now... oh and my tenner stayed in tact so basically a free night for me wooooo..
Will catch up properly tommorow, hope everyones well...hugs to those that need them. x0 -

So having a relaxing morning catching up
Maybe a quick spin to a local mr T that opens at 10am - hmmmmm not hit them for a dtd yet batteries anyone? Lol
Hope everyone has a great day and yes I do think they might be bringing more £1 clothes out today - yesterday one of mine added new stock at 7pm so worth a look if you are near one :-)
Happy hunting everyone xxxx
I'm thinking of heading to T's to see if I can get some more free batteries. I don't know what I'm going to do with them all though. I only have two things that take batteries, one is a torch and the other is a remote control for my lights (I'm lazy).0
