But you ARE clearly a journalist though.....or related to one.....if not then please explain why you are defending them to the hilt?

a touch of the paranoia going about?
When your life is a mess, stop and think what you are doing before bringing more kids into it, it's not fair on them.

The profession isn't corrupt. What kind of totally corrupt profession exposes its own corruption? If it hadn't been for journalists, you wouldn't know about phone-hacking.

If the entire profession is corrupt - why would they expose that corruption?

Because the ones who exposed it get "1-up" on their rivals and sell more papers.

There are many, many people who lie of disability claim forms, some are genuine claimant who would get the benefit anyway, some are not but all are very stupid.

As another poster has already said if you claim you cant do something at all and then its proved you do it regualarly you are a fraudster, it is suggested regualrly on this and other sites where people seek advice about disability benefits to fill in the forms based on your worst day, even if this worst day occured in 1999 and this is wrong, how can any sane, reasonable person even think that this could be correct?

But many people still do it and set themselves up for a fall, its amazing really that more cases are not caught out by their lies in this digital age, if I had told a pact of lies I wouldnt leave the house for fear or being caught, I dont believe that genuine claimants have anything to fear but all those that lie on the forms deserve to be both caught and afraid, pee off anyone and the fraud line gets a call/email/letter and your whole house of cards come tumbleing down.

I'll wait to read the story and see the pictures before making up my own mind.

Someone reported  a family of lying scrotes around here, who were claiming not to be able to walk anywhere etc, when they can all go shopping and down the gym etc. The mother was basically forcing her daughters to claim (they were all over 16 and a bit mothered) so she didnt have to work, they gave half their benefits to the mum and she got a car on motability, presumably carers allowance etc, anyway one of the daughters told me it would be unfair to expect her mum to have to work after 20 years of defrauding the system, and that's why they continued to claim.

Anyway, to cut a long story short, once it was apparent they were being invested, they never went over the freakin door unless it was in a taxi, and I'm talking literally a taxi down the road to their mates house, the mother wouldn't let them walk anywhere!! This lasted for about 2 months!!

The lengths some people will go to to avoid working is unbelievable.

You may not want to hear this - but national newspapers do not go around printing unfounded lies for malicious reasons. So if your father has done nothing wrong then he has nothing to worry about.

arent the sun group at them moment being sued for that very reason

No that's not why they are being investigated. The investigation is about getting the truth by illegal methods.

To the OP providing your father has answered the reporters questions honestly then I woudn't be concerned.
    It's someone else's fault.

ok so its medically advised then so the doctor has suggested it i think then the doctor would confirm this if any investigation by the dwp was to come about so the father has done nothing wrong

Nothing to do with the OP, but, if a GP recommends something that does not tally with what the claimant has written in their DLA form, it doesn't make any difference to the DWP who suggested it.

A person who can do more than they have suggested they can do, is at risk of a fraud investigation.

Again, my comments are nothing to do with the situation the OP presented, but to point out the error in believing something will automatically be ok if suggested by a medical professional.
Dear Lord, I am calling upon you today for your divine guidance and help. I am in crisis and need a supporting hand to keep me on the right and just path. My mind is troubled but I will strive to keep it set on you, as your infinite wisdom will show me the way to a just and right resolution. Amen.
