Indeed being on the inside i know the logistics of it all but they have no methods of appeal or anything in place. Nor do they have a static card machine anywhere to process payments. Their signs are all di-bond aluminium and they have none set up for ticketing and the cost of getting them all changed over would not be financially viable.
I'd agree if it was assumed that they want to go down the BPA route rather than simply rely on the 60% who pay up without question and then there's no need to have to use the DVLA and thus belong to the BPA. I could get correx signs printed tomorrow morning black on white/yellow for £18 a piece and if I ordered 20 they'd be £14. They could all be up by the afternoon....... Umm, now there's an idea. Not!;)
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

Well, if Mark gets on with his new task, the number of residents who will pay at all (never mind without question) will be 0%. So, I think that should render the scheme unviable....

Correx signs are £2 a piece 400mmX600mm when ordered in batches of 100... ;-)

The owner on NTC has already said to me before that he has no wishes to join the BPA.

Also the number who pay "off-screen" is now about 35-40%.

Sorry should have made clear that the ones I have made up are 1050 x 750 Chapter 8 advisories and contain site specific information which may be repeated over only say 8-12 signs. Mind you I'd get nearly four of your signs out of one of mine!

When you say "off-screen" do you mean those tickets which are paid up without follow-up letters?

Is the percentage you are quoting based on national figures or just those of your experience?

If your figure is correct, nationally, then that would mean (based on the figures we got last year) that immediate, unprompted payment had decreased by 50% in under a 12 month. I'd find that very hard to believe.

Who supplies these figures anyway? Surely not the Office of National Statistics.

If supplied by the PPCs they are going to be largely propaganda.

I would be interested to hear more about that figure.:)

You do seem to have a good inside knowledge and appear much less in the shadows than those money-grabbing idiots on the dark side. I know you have said many of your jobs are not about enforcement but security patrolling - the latter I don't have a problem with as long as that's all it is (unmenacing security patrolling to stop intruders, key-holder stuff, locking gates & barriers etc.?).

It would be great if the word is really getting out for people to ignore these fake PCNs.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
