Urggg how frustrating. Is it just because it's a conversion rather than a "whole degree" (ie involving a seemingly pointless first year ha)?
i did the conversion course and the legal practice course with the college of law and if you pass both of them because of the sheer amount of work you do, you qualify for a separate award of an LLB on top from them. it was just her "oh, i don't think THATS an LLB!". was sat there thinking "what on earth do i say back to that?" i mean I've a certificate saying i have an LLB and i'm entitled to add LLB after my name but apparently its not enough for her. the mind boggles when even graduate recruiters don't know what the courses are that the graduates they are hiring are actually sitting!0 -
I moved my stash to my parents and took pictures while i had the chance. these are my "spares" and don't include anything in use. this is the stuff waiting patiently in line to be used:
i'll take pics of in use and my make up when that gets moved over. made me realise just how much stuff i had!0 -
Wow. Some stash.. ! Welcome back Rosemary, fingers crossed for Wednesday Trudi .
I've got a UU The Mineral Gems Glamorous Gold Body Lotion from Avon that I was going to give to a friend for Christmas. Then it dawned on me that if she was likely to use it, she wouldn't have given me a very nice BS lotion and Dove lotion with the words 'I never use this stuff...' So I kept it and she got something else.
Well... WIBA? No, don't think so. The lotion is really, really nice to apply with a lovely scent and moisturised fairly well BUT the glittery gold bits rub off on everything. The inside of my watch strap (soft black leather) will probably have a gold sheen for years.
The bottle is super thick plastic with a tiny aperture, meaning that the lotion was an absolute expletive to get out from Day 1 even when stored upside down.
I nearly bust the kitchen scissors cutting through it but finally got it open and another two days worth of full body application out. But Avon have been using those bottles for donkey's years, probably because most of them get chucked out still half-full, resulting in a quick turnover for them.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0 -

One OUT for me this morning - VO5 Heat Protect Styling Spray. WBA as it smelt nice and worked well. I did of course promptly buy a replacement IN in the shape of Schwarzkopf Got2b Guardian Angel Heat Protect Styling Spray (as it was on offer)
The OH and I are talking about possibly going travelling at the end of this year so I really need to get myself into gear in terms of using stuff up! It's a little bit up in the air at the moment as it depends if we get jobs but I don't want to have to fly round the world with a big stash of toiletries waiting to be used up at home..."A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
More UUs, ooooh I'm on fire this week.
Toni & Guy 'prep' heat protection spray. Bought experimentally in Boots 3 for 2. WNBA because 1. It was almost impossible to open, so much so that I almost took it back to Boots, 2. It was a lot of money for a smallish bottle, 3. The spray gun works with a trigger, which was rubbish and kept getting stuck and 4. Despite smelling quite pleasantly of cinnamon when first sprayed, when exposed to GHDs it made my hair smell like cheese and onion crisps.
Bio oil. Goodbye, dear old friend. I would be more upset if I weren't about to crack open a Sanctuary therapist's secret facial oil. I would definitely BA.
Just caught up on a few unread pages. Hanval, I was skiing in Austria. You are so lucky living amongst the alps. Looking at those beautiful mountains makes everything seem better!0 -
Tossed a travel size bottle of Body Shop Satsuma body lotion. Had no smell left and have no idea of how long it's been on the kitchen windowsill.
UU: Almay Oil-Free Make Up remover pads (90 count). Won't buy again. Seemed to take two pads per eye and the last few were almost bone dry.
Garnier Fructis Damage Repair (deep repair mask - 1 minute) 300ml. Finally found new ones to buy. Found this in Dollarama for $2 and it is fantastic. Coloured Hair is soft and silky afterwards. Hunted high and low for another tub. !!!!!!s changed the packaging to a tubes. So I picked up two in WalMart for $1.97 each.
Estee Lauder Resilience Life Extreme spf 15 gwp size. Kept in the swimming pool bag. Won't buy full size because I've got loads of other gwp moisturizers that fit in my swim bag. The texture was really weird, not creamy almost like a paste??
The snow is melting quickly here. The Collie is sighing on the kitchen mat because he hasn't been out yet. I'm a terrible human! He just wants to go soon so he can dance for the kids at school. Does the whole tail wag, body bounce whenever he sees a child.0 -
MrM is like your DH. For my birthday I had £40.00 in John Lewis vouchers and I remember him (bless him) asking me if I wanted to buy more than two things with it! Hello!
Oh how I laughed when I read this :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Mr KM has no idea either - when he looks at my Radley and kipling bag stash he often comments how much it must be worth when I have paid about £50 a bag :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:or should that be :eek::eek: when I think about how much I actually have spent.
Anyway, just as well they have no idea - bless. This is the man who says 'Don't spend anything' when I go to Bicester to meet my BFF and once famously told me 'don't eat anything' when I was going to a BBC Good Food Exhibition. Doh!
Anyway, am keeping the UU momentum going:
Elemis soothing apricot toner - WBA - love the smell of this and find it really soothing. What does annoy me about Elemis toners though is the silly spray dispenser. Would much rather have the Liz Earle Instant Boost twist top method of delivery - or is that just me? Anyway, am prepared to put up with it as being the control freak that I am, I do like my cleanser and toner to match (or is that just me again?).
Evilsquid - hope you find something soon. Everything crossed for you. I like the stash photos - wouldn't even dare to lay mine out - first of all I would need to get the crates out of the wardrobe (from behind the handbag stash) and then I would need to empty the drawers in the spare room0
