Thanks everyone.
I sneaked some reduced cream doughnuts into the grocery budget today when I got the rest of the things that we couldn't get yesterday in morrisions.
I think on monday I am going to get a *huge* bar of chocolate, would probably cost less than an easter egg anyway.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -

Took kids to park today and took a picnic and drinks, but didn't think we would be there all day so the drinks ran out and I had to buy more  So in total spent £2.40 on extra drinks ..... can't believe I got this far without any spend and on the last but one day had to succumb .......... I now feel cr*p, as I thought I was going to do it ........ oh me, oh my!!!
Don't feel so bad! You can't have the kids dehydrated, so those drinks were neccessary (unless you went out intending to buywhich you didn't!)
DD, DS and I have decided not to buy any Easter eggs this year. We all got so used NOT to eat chocolate the last few weeks, that we don't want to change the habit.
They will get one from their dad, though (none for me. Why not? Don't ex wifes count??? )
....oh, and I just got one from OH's mum.
So this year it's just ONE chocolate egg instead of loads, yeah - so much healthier :jHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

Sorry to hear about your rat Shirley, it is horrible when they go as they are great characters.
CAFCgirl, when do we finish?
Turnaroundsue , I agree with optimist that you can't have children dehydrated, I believe it was a warm day yesterday, I saw people on beaches on the news. We were under a grey cloud all day and also really cold wind but it is sunny today.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

well i don't know about the rest of you but i'll be finishing the challenge at 10pm tonight. that's traditionally when we'd finish lent, after mass on easter saturday (we'd go straight to the sweet shop and stock up on chocolate as inevitably all my brothers and sisters would have given it up for lent). other than that, lent ends on easter sunday so 12:01am tonight!!!!

So sorry to hear about your rat Shirley. How is/are your other rat/s doing?
Sue you haven't failed it was a necessary spend and can be linked to your grocery bill
Ooooh a midnight feast I haven't had one of those for ages I might not tell DH and arrange an adult feast with candles, wine and melted choc maybe not for midnight though if I'm not telling him otherwise he'll be snoring :rotfl:

Well HAD to buy eggs for the kids today as if I waited until midnight the easter bunny wouldn't have any to leave :rotfl: :rotfl: But that is my only spend today so £4.50 on 16 creme eggs is all I've spent.
Thanks for the words re the drinks yesterday - don't feel so bad now. Will meet you here for a midnight feast at 12 am then? Until then, TTFNWhen you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:0 -

So sorry to hear about your rat Shirley. How is/are your other rat/s doing?
The other one keeps looking around the cage like she's looking for something, I had her out to watch Doctor Who with me, though she thought running up and down the bed was more fun.
I made the mistake of looking on the rehoming forum on fancy rat, and someone has 2 female rats in need of rehoming in Southampton. I'm going to see how she goes, she won't be short of human attention but she might get lonely by herself.
I have to say I'm tempted to see if the little newsagents is open tomorrow, then I can get some chocolate. Alternatively I might just make treacle sponge pudding instead.Debts: Mum £3923 0% APR0 -
oooooooooooh people I'm so sorry!
Haven't been around at all today!!!
I feel bad for keeping everyone waiting so my theory is thus, you can finish your challenge from any moment forward
Mainly because I dont think I'll still be awake at midnight!!!!
And so I would like to say a BIG FAT Easter egg shaped CONGRATULATIONS to everyone on the challenge........:T :T :T
whether you stumbled and fumbled or fell flat on your face, everyone has done fantastically well and I'm so pleased that my one lone thought turned into something like this.:D
I've e-met a bunch of fantastically caring and supportive people without whom I would never had finished this challenge myself.
It's been an absolute privilege, eye opener and jolly good laugh to share this thread with you!:p
