We simply can do it.
It's all about organising ourselves and remaining positive.
You're absolutely right, so in my signature line I won't count the money saved (that's too difficult for me, if I write down how much I didn't spend it will only remind me of all the chocolate I want to eat :rotfl: ). Instead I count the days I've succeded :jHe who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever.

Doh! I spent £8.50 on some waxing today. I completely forgot about this. Can I count it as a necessity?
Next challenge is my Auntie's birthday on Friday. I was going to buy her a pot of mini daffodils at the florist near my house but I've had a brainwave. I'll dig some up that are growing in my garden and put them in a pot for her. Hooray! No spend required.
Next week I'm going to London twice for work, and that's usually means spending on coffee, overpriced sandwiches, and even wine and pizza later on. I'll take sandwiches and a thermos.Total debt: 1 January 2007 £[strike]49,387.79[/strike] 1 January 2012 £[STRIKE]19,312.85[/STRIKE] 1 August 2012 £11,517.620 -

Ahhh see thats the spirit people!Instead I count the days I've succeded
Thats exactly my plan! Counting how much money you've spent kinda defeats the object. The aim of the game is to not spend any money, thats not budgetted dosh!
Spendaholic Chick.
Admitting you might not have the self control is a really good thing, but maybe you could challenge yourself in a smaller way? Say giving up money for the weekdays?
I think we'll all be surprised how much will power we've got if we really stick our hearts and minds to it.
Like Nevada said, she's currently running at about £8 per week on nothing. Over the lent period, lets call it a rough six weeks, thats £48!
I for one know exactly what I could do with an extra £48 thats gonna make a much more positive impact in my life!!!!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

Depends how bad your legs were? :rotfl: :rotfl:
Was it booked pre the challenge? And did you know it was gonna happen and did you make sure you had money set aside for it?
